Fight 2: Syn VS Sorva

Syn walked into the tournament arena ready for his fight. He was waiting anxiously waiting for his opponent to arrive. He was going to win this tournament whether his body could stand up to the challenge or not. This was the big day and he was not going to screw it up. He was going to show his opponent why he was called the Grim Reaper.

Sorva slowly looked his opponent up and down, observing every single detail that he could. He knew that straight forward fighting alone was not his strong point and usually just got him into trouble. He would need to memorize as many details as possible to make sure he wouldn't be slaughtered and mounted.

He jumped into the air, unfurling his wings as he did so. He would hold back on releasing his ressurection for a bit, he first wanted to see what this Shinigami could do.

Syn waisted no time in going after his opponent he was gonna win the tourney and he wasn't going to hold back. He appeared behind Sorva and AIMED a kick at his back aiming at the lower spinal cord hoping for an early paralysis.

Sorva's eyes widened as the Shinigami appeared behind him. He hadn't expected the Shinigami to be that fast. He quickly turned his body slightly groaning as the kick smashed into his side knocking him back a couple of feet. To be this fast he is probably a member of the second division. So keeping distance will be important in this fight. Got to stay far enough away that I will at least be able to see where he will be coming at me from. Lucky me. He smiled slightly ignoring the pain in his side. Ranged attacks are what I am best at. Lets see how he deals with this.

With that thought done he fired two balas at Syn, using a Sonido to get further away from Syn. Keeping his distance while ready to release his ressurection if necessary.

Syn smiled as his kick connected and watched as his opponent sent to balas at him. So instead of trying to block or deflect them, he flash stepped behind the balas in front of Sorva and sent a punch at his stomach.

Seeing the Shinigami dash towards him Sorva got his arms into place ready to counter. As Syn went to punch at his stomach he quickly blocked it with one arm knocking it to the side while bringing the other one up towards the shinigami's chest. He summoned his energy to fire another bala at Syn, preferably at point blank range. Even if it didn't do too much damage if it hit, it would probably knock Syn back slightly. And that should give him enough time to release his Ressurecion.

Syn flash stepped away from the bala, but it had slightly skimmed his chin. feeling the wound he said,"you little shit". He then slowly pulled out his zanpakuto and said,"Grind to pieces, Hidan". His normal katana transformed into a large, black, triple blade scythe. "This spells your defeat".

As the Shinigami took his time releasing his zanpakuto, Sorva wasted no time in releasing his ressurection. His body slowly changed as his wings expanded and his hands became clawlike. Sighing in slight ecstasy as his wings filled with reishi feathers he looked at his opponent who was now holding a large scythe.

"You can try all you wish, Shinigami. But don't give yourself a victory just yet." As he said this he fired a large number of feathers out of his wings like a machine gun at the shinigami, waiting to see how he would respond and what moves he could use. He also prepared another large group of feathers to be used if the shinigami did manage to flash step around the flying projectiles.

In a flurry of flash stepping and sending shock waves at the feathers he managed to get them all. However he wasn't done. He focused energy into his feet and basically flash stepped as fast as he was going. As soon as he got about 3 feet away he grabbed the scythe by the chain and swung. If it hit he would charge up a shock wave into and if it didn't he would pull it back by the chain trying to behead his opponent. However if his opponent was fast and the scythe couldn't reach him he would focus his reiatsu to stop the inevitable counterstrike.

Seeing the scythe flying towards him Sorva just dropped downwards through the air a few feet to have it fly over his head. Taking the feathers he prepared, he fired a small number of them into the air. Using his powers he manipulated them to fly around Syn and move inwards to attack him from all sides. As he did so he started to charge his energy for a cero. Hopefully the shinigami would just try to drop down to his level to avoid the feathers and put himself right in the line of fire.

Syn pulled his scythe down as the feathers flew at him. As he swung down he charged a shock wave into it and let it rip. He then focused his reiatsu along the outskirts of his body and let the feathers fall helplesslyh at the invisible shield.

(This is something Soifon did when she fought her own zanpakuto. So just in case there's conflict, i wanted to inform you)

(I will allow it this time. However, I don't want to see you use it again. I don't know what you are talking about where Soifon used it but you may be correct about it. Regardless, I don't want to see you use it because then you could just use it repeatedly and render my feather attacks useless. And considering this isn't even something I have heard of before and it has no information RP wise about it, that would be ridiculous to have you keep using it.)

Sorva growled annoyed as he saw the feathers hadn't been as effective as he had hoped. But he still had his energy prepared. He quickly used a Sonido to dodge the shockwave though it did knock his movement a little awry. He then put one hand in front of him and fired the cero right at where Syn was standing.

(It in the sub-plot when all the shinigami were fighting their own zanpakuto because a rogue zanpakuto took control of the others... just saying lol. Oh yeah and it's a form of Shunko which is what her and Yoruichi use)

Syn saw the cero come at him and his eyes widened when he saw how big it was. He wasn't at all surprised though, seeing as his opponent was in his ressurrecion. He jumped sideways to the right and combined it with his shunpo, making for a greater distance. He then shot a shockwave at Sorva and hopefully using it as a distraction he murmured,"Dim the lights and call forth the darkness". The room went pitch black and his senses were instantly heightened. Although his spiritual pressure could still be sensed, the darkness still helped because you can't always pinpoint the exact location of an attack.

Sorva narrowed his eyes as the shinigami evaded the cero. It seemed that with Syn's speed, it would be necessary to either wound him to keep him from running or use an attack that he wouldn't be able to avoid. As he saw another shockwave coming he started to fly to the side to avoid it. However, he stopped for a moment as suddenly everything around him became dark. He quickly used a Sonido to continue avoiding the shockwave.

He slowed to a stop deciding what to do. The Shinigami was nearby, he could hear him and sense his energy. But that wouldn't be that useful if he was forced into close quarters fighting. He wasn't that good at it as it was, he certainly wasn't going to try it when he could see anything, especially since his opponent probably retained his sight.

"So I guess we will just have to do this." He suddenly fired a huge number of feathers out of his wings around him. The feather mass began to spin around him several times before zooming outwards still moving in a spiral pattern. Hopefully he would be able to hit Syn with it, but more likely he would just be able to mess up Syn's movement which would also be useful. As soon as he released the mass he began to create another one. This time he began to apply large numbers of feathers into a ball shape. It was small currently, but if he could stall long enough it would be a potent attack.

Syn ran at Sorva, but was quickly caught off guard by the feathers. Blocking them with his scythe, he was thrown to the ground. How did he do that without being able to see? Not dwelling on the fact for too long, he quickly picked himself up and flash stepped behind Sorva slashing down with his scythe.

Sensing Syn appear behind him Sorva attempted to sonido forward to escape the blade used by his now invisible assailant. However, lack of sight and being forced to sense reishi slowed him down a bit. He howled in pain as he felt the scythe make a deep cut in his back as he got away. However, he still didn't attack back, all of his attention on the ball of feathers that was increasing in size. It wouldn't be long until it was at full size. And then this match would turn around.

Syn knew that after this last attack, his trick would fade away making the battle even again. So he decided to put in some power behind his moves, but still be careful. So he charged energy to his feet and kicking off the ground, leaving behind him his nothing but shredded earth, he dashed at Sorva and as he got close he three the scythe up threw the air and aimed a punch at him if this attack missed he would shunpo upwards and grab his scythe spinning in mid air while combining it with his shockwave for the ultimate attack and defense. When he does this he would spin down slicing his opponent several times before flash stepping back a few feet. He had his counter-strike ready and time was all he needed.

Sorva barely even moved as he felt Syn getting close. He was still concentrating on the feather ball in his hand that was as large as his head. Right as Syn began to throw his zanpakuto in the air Sorva closed his wings around his body to at least have a partial defense against any slashes from the huge scythe. To his surprise though, instead of the pain of being cut, he felt a hard force directly in his face cracking his maks and breaking a few of his teeth. As he stumbled backwards blind and confused he finally released his technique. "Feather cannonball" he muttered as the huge mass shot at his nearby foe.

It was his most powerful attack and the most useful at the time. While he couldn't see, he could still control it to follow Syn's reishi signature. It was his best hope of ending the battle if the darkness was to continue. If that didn't work, it would be awhile before he could use it again.

The darkness faded and Syn felt the wave of air wash over him as the flying sphere picked up momentum and quickly pulled the chain of his scythe down and spun in mid air combining it with his shockwave. He slashed and hacked at the sphere, but it had come too fast at point blank range. He had blocked as much of the sphere as he could, but because of his haste he couldn't pull the defense off as well as he would have liked. His left arm was broken, but even so he was just happy that it wasn't his good arm. He then smiled and asked,"Is that all you've got?" He then held his scythe up by the handle and flash stepped directly in front of Sorva. He then threw his scythe around him, holding it by the chain, trying to make it curve around and stab him in the back while at the same time punching at his mid section with his left hand, which he had enhanced with his own reishi do to damage. It was broken at a bad angle so he couldn't crack it back into place like if it was dislocated. If the punch connected it would no doubt send him flying into the scythe. It just had to...

Sorva gasped as Syn managed to destroy the flying sphere. He had expected it to do more damage then just a broken arm. His surprise slowed his reactions too much and he wasn't able to block the sudden attack forcing him backwards. He moved backwards twisting slightly to avoid the lethal weapon. He was partially successful as he managed to keep it from stabbing into his back. However, it still dug deep into his left arm ripping apart the muscle and scraping bone.

Howling in rage he pushed the scythe away as he took to the skies again. He quickly summoned some feathers to apply a feather bandage to his injured arm. While it was able to partially close up the wound and stop the bloodloss, it wasn't able to fix the damage to his muscle or bone. He would need to eat later to fix his body. "Guess we both can't use an arm now it seems." He called down to Syn. "Shall we continue now?"

((By the way, I am content now with your abilities in fighting situations. You can RP in any section now with my full consent. A bit of a rocky start but I think we fixed the problems quite nicely.))

Syn pulled his scythe back by the chain into his right hand. He then replied to Sorva by saying,"Yes, let's continue". He then focused more reishi into his left arm. Looking back up at Sorva he kicked off the ground, flying at Sorva with his huge scythe in hand. As he got close, he threw the scythe by the chain at Sorva's injured arm, hoping that it would distract him from what Syn was going to do. Syn had planned to use a shockwave on him if he decided to block the attack. If it hit at point blank range, it would surely do a decent amount of damage if not massive amounts.

Unfortunately for Syn, Sorva wasn't going to be letting that scythe get anywhere near him again. He already felt how sharp it was and preferred to keep his distance.

He quickly flew backwards releasing a stream of single feathers at the shinigami hoping to be able to mess with him and make an opening. It probably wouldn't be too damaging but it would at least give him a little time to decide what move to use next.

Syn saw the feathers coming and used his scythe to send a shock wave at them,knocking them to the right and into a wall. The wall crumbled everywhere those feathers hit. Good thing they didn't touch me. He then flash stepped a few feet in front of Sorva, at the same time dragging the scythe by the chain. Because of the speed of the flash step Syn ducked and the scythe came at Sorva like a sling shot.

Apparently the shinigami wasn't giving him time to think as he sent the scythe flying at him. He tried to fly backwards but was too slow as the scythe slashed across his chest. He once utilized a Sonido to fly backwards away from the shinigami. Luckily unlike the wound in his arm, this one was much shallower. But it would be a bit before he would be able to seal it up with feathers as he had more important things to think about.

He summoned another batch of feathers as he decided on how to control them. A thought suddenly came to his mind and he grinned slightly. He wasn't a straight up fighter like the shinigami was, so why should he act like him? Strategy was the better way to solve this conundrum.

He quickly summoned one of the largest feather batches yet and fired it at the shinigami. The large mass of feathers flew at the soul reaper nearly obscuring where he was from Sorva's point of view. He had imparted them with two instructions, one to move forward and another one that had a chance of changing the match around. As he did so he started to summon energy into his mouth. He hope that he would be able to last after using so much energy but he still had enough to go on for a little bit longer.

Syn said,"Dim the light and call forth darkness". As he said this, the room went pitch black and his senses were instantly heightened. As the feathers flew towards him, he dodged them with out much effort and then dashed towards Sorva, hoping those feathers weren't just a decoy for something big.
