A Mission

"Its harder than that, we still don't know why he didn't manage to return with the others after the last confrontation against... some strange beings that recently appeared round here, and we can't contact him either." He remembered about that the vizard information should not be spread apart or maybe the soul society reputation could easily fall apart. "So we don't know if hes turning into a rogue or if hes finished for good, if he turned into a rogue hes good as dead for dishonoring and disobeying the seiretei orders..." he said with a totally different tone from before, in a more serious way while reaching for some kind of large black crayon inside his haori and drawing some lines over his arms with it before raising his left arm to his side. "Just a moment" he asked Thomas, again with a smile over his face "Way of Binding 77, Tentei kuura" he said as a large square appeard infront of his hand, conecting to several shinigamis that came from the 2nd division as connecting with Roga.

"Captain Roga i have some information to share, but by the way did you already get the results from that sample?"

((Not sure what the results should turn up as so i'll let you handle that Fukki))

With rapid succession Ranryou preformed several front flips into a triple axel. Diving down between a set of buildings, before landing on both feet. Bending at the knees to transfer some of the force to the ground. Then he would proceed to walk.

Captain Roga wasn;t walking because he was tired, or because he needed to search every single inch of every single street of karakura. It was because he got a message from Fukki. he needed to speach with him. And on top of that he wanted to know if the sample had returned. Ranryou was disappointed to have to tell him no. For if it had returned Fukki would have known before he had. Ranryou didn't need any officers lower then a third seat around him at this time.

Why some may ask?

Because Mizuchi was released, and the lowered air pressure could seriously harm those who were not strong enough for it. The only people with strength to resist are his on squad members. As they have had to fight against Ranryou with his shiaki released more then a few dozen times. Yet for now he would have to head for Fukki's location. They had to compare notes as of yet.

"Captain. I'll be heading in your direction as we speak. Care to give me anythigy ou may have found out in the meanwhile?"

With that Ranryou disappeared back into the sky. once again using his impressive mastery of Shunpo. Tho thes were basic beginner level steps.

This is getting more intriguing, Thomas thought to himself. There are TWO captains involved in this search? Interesting... "Eh, fallen comrades and those who are M.I.A. happen all the time in warfare," Thomas said, with a little shrug. "But is it really necessary for a captain to be involved? Surely a lesser-ranked shinigami can do the same sort of job? Unless this missing person wasn't just another soldier. Perhaps a fellow captain? "I'm sorry for constantly asking you questions, but you must forgive me. It is quite rare for any human to talk face to face with a shinigami, and we wouldn't want this opportunity to go to waste, would we?"

"Well, I've found some pretty good stores around this part of town, but if want a relaxing place this sure is not a good place with all this noise and movement here." He said joking to the other captain before ending the transmission and turning around facing Thomas "Well... sometimes, in certain circumstances, its good and better to know how the things are going by yourself rather than just wait for the news... and its good to come back to the human world" he answered him seating in floor crossing his legs together while waiting for Roga. "No, thats a good thing and i don't care about it... in fact i really don't care for many things"

Thomas took a moment to think about the captain's words. Seeing the captain sit down, Thomas himself sat on the top of a railing, but not keeping his eyes off the shinigami in front of him. Hmm, his fellow shinigami might not want me to hang around when he arrives. But I really want to know where this is going. What to do... Thomas decided to just ask the shinigami directly. Might as well.

"I was wondering," Thomas started, shifting his eyes downward and to the side to appear a tad shy and sincere, "can I tag along with you guys? I think it would be beneficial for all of us, since I can help you guys in your search."

Her knew it would end up in something like that, even not needing to ask Roga about it, he still thought about what Roga would think about that before answering to Hopper "If you really want to do it then i'll gladly accept that help offer, but what can you do? forget about it, sorry i'm a bit curious sometimes about people" he turned around looking for Roga that seemed to be some more meters away from there, before turning his attention back to Hopper "right now any help is more than welcome"

As his continued toward his rendezvous with Fukki Ranryou caught hint of a second spiritual pressure. It would seem it a few feet or so away from Fukki. Yet it also didn't seem to he hostel. Now really knowing what this could mean Ranryou increased the speed behind his run. Duckning into an alleyway before using the two buildings as punch off points. Leaping from side to side till he reached the top. Preforming, and backflip, and landing between Fukki, and the unknown. Without taking a second look at the extra Roga turned toward's a seating Fukki, and made a gesture with his shoulders. A shrug.

"I'm confused. That sample should return in but a few minutes. Meanwhile...Who's your company?"

He was talking to Hopper when Roga just suddenly appeared between them interrupting their talk "You know how to do your entrances... well Roga this one is Thomas, Thomas this is Roga" he said while slowly standing and cleaning the dirty from the ground on his haori "Maybe it got lost among the 12th experiments we might get its results anytime soon, im starting to get tired from running around like some crazy rat"

Ranryou half laughed yet didn't want to allow this Thomas guy to gain to much information. He didn't trust him. And this has nothing to do with humans. Their mission is there own. They surely didn't need distractions when a Captain was missing. Unless....

Unless Thomas was only prolonging their searching. Giving Kaiser or whomever is behind his disappearance time to escape. Ranryou narrowed his eyes at the human. His reaitsu becoming stile, and the air around their area picking up. Creating a very light yet forceful constant flow of wind.

"Answer me quickly human for your life depends on it. Who are you? And what is your business here?"

Thomas did not allow himself to show any form of surprise in response to both the captain's seemingly appearing out of nowhere and his showing an icy-cold shoulder to Thomas. Sheesh, this guy's fast. And why does he seem to have a bone to pick with me? "My life depends on it, you say? That seems a little harsh, don't you think?" Thomas chuckled a little to try to melt the ice a bit. "But I think the captain here already told you my name. I am Thomas Hopper, and I am a member of the Superhuman organization. As for my business..." Thomas pondered a bit to find the best way to phrase it. "I was sent along with another Superhuman to meet up with the ones already in Karakura and to also investigate what happened here." Satisfied with this, Thomas turned to Fukki. "As for how I can help... my ability has many uses." With that, Thomas released his reiatsu, his wings folding out and extending out of his back. A small fly-like bug emerged from his hand, which he extended for the two captains to observe. "This little guy has a telepathic connection to my brain, allowing me to see what he sees. I can only form five of these guys at a time, but I think it would be beneficial to your search if you want my help."

{I understand that my ability profile does not specifically list all of the bugs that Thomas can produce, or what their uses are. If anyone has an issue with this, then just let me know and I will either edit this post or my profile}

"Is that so?"

Turning his back to the human again Ranryou focused more so on Fukki. His eyes cut to the east, foreshadowing his next route. His squad had already covered half of Karakura. And he himself was receiving the details through an ear piece. The same ones the 12th division should be relying the information through.

"Northwest sector clear. South side clear. South west clear. River side clear. and Downtown clear. That leaves us with limited options. Anything Captain. Or should we allow this human to help us."

Calmly Fukki heard both arguing between them until they stopped looking back at him. He gave a long sigh looking up to the clouds in the sky before turning his attention back to them "Keep calm, theres no need to talk like that. And hes my responsibility Roga so enough of that, this whole mission is making you act like a nuts" he slowly started to walk away from them We really should just go back stating that kaiser is already dead or disappeared... but i doubt Roga would agree on doing such a thing like that... "Sorry Roga, but his abilities could be useful for us, not that i think were gonna find something, here..." he said taking the hakama piece he found earlier from his haori that waved in the air as he raised it held in his hand "Kaiser may be hiding in the city undergrounds, what would be a good reason for you not been able to find him, not discarding the fact that he could be dead already too..."

Ranryou flinched at the thought of Kaiser being dead, but more so on the possibility that he deserted them. Ranryou came with kaiser as his backup. Not thinking he needed it. Yet still. Something went wrong, and he couldn't help but blame himself.

"If that's how you feel, then maybe you should head back. I didn't come here to give up. If underground is where he could be then underground is where I will do. Captain Kaiser would have done the same for you. But i guess the feeling isn't mutual."

Turning, and Shunpoing into thin air Ranryou disappeared. heading for the eat section of Karakura, and then underground.

Roga is taking that too serious... he should stop blaming his self for what happened. I really hope that we don't meet any vizards during this mission... he was thinking as he heard Roga talking to him.
He turned back to Hopper as Roga disappeared using his shumpo "So Thomas i guess were partners at least for now, you'll help me out in this search and during that time i'll try satisfy any curiosity of yours about soul society or anything that i know, deal?" Fukki said giving his right hand to Thomas.

Thomas smiled thinly as the shinigami seemed to accept him for the moment. "Sure thing. Anything to help out." He summoned more of the 'spy-flies' as he called them, until 5 were buzzing around him. With a single thought, he sent them all out across the city, seeing what they were seeing in his mind. [i]I wished that Roga had stayed a while longer; I wanted to tag him with a spy-fly to see where he was heading. Oh well[i] Thomas turned to Fukki. "After you."

Fukki slowly turned around and started to walk "Well... i still lack of good way to get to the undergrounds, mostly because it would call attention as also be weird for people around in the street to see YOU going down in a manhole in the middle of the street if you get what i mean..." he said to Thomas while walking in circles before finally stopping as his soul phone just started to ring. His hand reached for it inside the haori and then answered it "So what did you guys found?" Fukki asked the person on the phone then quiet and attentively heard what it told him "Thanks for informing me, try to get in contact with Roga too" he ended the call and kept it back on his haori thinking about the confirmation he just received which said that the blood was indeed from Kaiser before turning back to Thomas "So any ideas?"

Running throughout the town once again Ranryou leap a great distance over the river. Stalling mid-flight as a call came in. The water below his feet so quiet, and unaffected by recent events.
"Captain Roga. The sample came back positive. It was Captain Kaiser's blood."

narrowing his eyes in determination Ranryou picked up the speed, and disappeared with a flash step only a moment after reaching the other side of the river. With a few more well placed steps Ranryou found himself standing before a man hole cover. Staring down at it before sliding it open with his foot, and hoping down.

"Hopefully this search will finally come to an end."

Thomas was studying Fukki's face closely as he answered his call. Even with his acute senses, he was only able to hear certain words such as 'sample and 'confirmed.' And judging from his facial expressions, he's not getting very good news.

He contemplated Fukki's inquiry. "We don't have a lot of options, from what I can gather. I don't know the city very well, so I don't know my way around it. The bugs I released can sense spiritual energy, so that might make the job easier. If they don't find a shinigami-like source other than you and the other captain, than that either means this fellow is either hiding, or being hidden, or probably...well, six feet under, if you know what I mean." In the back of his mind, Thomas could sense one of his flies picking up a large gathering of energy, in one of the city's many skyscrapers. Due to his familiarity with other superhumans' energies, he could recognize Fuuga's and Levi's. I could recognize that massive chunk of reiatsu anywhere. But I don't know who the other sources of energy belong to. Hmm...

He knew very well about those chances that Hopper was speaking, but Roga probably wouldn't accept that until he tired all the muscles of his body doing that search, even so Fukki already had some idea on his mind to solve the whole problem. "Yeah I know tha..." Fukki was talking when noticed a small change on Hopper mood as he started to speak, like he just had discovered or was trying to figure out something that was happening. He waited some seconds before talking to Hopper again.
"So... discovered anything already or is there some problem?"

Running through the sewer wasn't what Ranryou called a great run. The smell was bad, and it himself felt sicker with each step. However, there was a Captain missing, and nothing would stop him from the truth. So picking up the speed the Captain half-sprinted, half-leaped throughout the sewer. passing by a few blocks till finally something came across his senses, and his vision. "Just what the hell was that just now."

Almost to confirm his doubts the spiritual energy he felt seemed to surge to his words. Almost calling him. Turning around, and leaping up towards the surface Ranryou came bursting from underneath the man hole. Standing outside the city limits. "No way....."

Ranryou's eyes seemed to lose focus. Becoming shadows of themselves as his gaze streached further, and further away from reality. If they had continued the search they would have found what Ranryou himself was looking at. bending down, and picking up an object from the ground the Squad Captain only stared at it for a while. It was easy to recognize even without the dirt, and blood covering it. The expression on his face easily foretelling sorrow, pain, disgust, and anger. As things stood now Kaiser's whereabouts where confirmed. He was dead.....

Turning around form the scene the Captain of the 2nd Division fell to his knees in a rage. Releasing a scream from the top of his lungs that could only come from losing a close friend. His reaitsu flared as did the wind. Blowing the branches off of trees, and lifting some rocks from the ground. The reaitsu his body gave off could easily be picked up by Fuuki, and the human. And quite easily away one else with the limits of Karakura. As after that felt the pressure the surge of wind would come after. Blowing papers, and thrashing loose objects around.

Holding his head down Ranryou seemed stuck in his position. In his hands the whole of Kaiser's Haori. Blood covering the symbol of the 9th division. A pieces being partly ripped off. Behind him. The scene in which he couldn't look was a war-torn battle field. Many craters varying in size. Some large, some mid-size, and some very small. But it wasn't that in which he couldn't look at. It was the amount of blood that covered the ground. Easily all belonging to Kaiser. The terrain was a mess. A battle had been fought here. And Kaiser had lost......


"This is Captain Ranryou Roga of the 2nd Division. All squad's pull out, and return to Soul Society. The search is over. Cap......Captain Kaiser is....no longer with us. I repeat. Captain Kaiser is dead. i will be returning shortly. Roga out."

Shaking his head, and gripping the piece of clothing in his hands Ranryou only growled in anger. His mind only coming up with one type of person that could defeat Kaiser. he himself had fought one of them.

The Vizard.

And he would make them pay.........

Syn had been following his captain with softest of footsteps masking his reiatsu. He was very careful not to be seen. He then saw his captain turn his head and quickly ducked behind a wall. He looked back around and his captain had disappeared. Damn, he thought. He then ran towards the reiatsu and to his astonishment found his captain on his knees. He then let out a loud cougar like shriek and Syn could tell something had went wrong.

He looked around the place he had not paid attention to at first and came to realize that he wasn't just standing in a random place. This was a gruesome murder scene. Blood was everywhere dripping down onto the ground it seemed pretty new. He then walked up to his captain and put a hand on his shoulder telling him to go.

Feeling his Vice's hand on his shoulder Ranryou still didn't look up. His heart ached with pain, and anger as he only muttered in his breathe. "Unbelievable...." taking the clock in his right hand, and lifting it up to Syn Ranryou let him take hold of it. "Return it to head-Captain Uriuc. And gather the Squad in our training field. We have a few things to discuss. Now please Syn...leave me be."

Returning to that shell of a man Ranryou continued to mutter stuff about failing his fellow Captain, and how he shouldn't have left after fighting that Vizard. So much stuff was running through his head he didn't even notice the wind's speed, and resistance picking up, and slowing down.

Syn picked up the clock and was gone in an instant. He flash stepped, jumped off buildings flash stepped. He was going to be near the Sotaicho in just minutes. This was an important message and Syn had no time to listen. This also gave him an excuse to not be formal. God he hated being formal. It made him sound so nerdy.

"Hang on" he said to Thomas before he could answer him, reaching for his soul phone again listening to the new information "Understood" he answered before turning it off thinking that it would be better to have finished that without knowing the truth about Kaiser end.
"Sorry and thanks Thomas, but you won't find anything its useless now"

Thomas tilted his head slightly as Fukki told him to call off the search. Ahh, and after all of that effort with the spy-flies. He could easily tell from Fukki's posture what had happened. "I am sincerely sorry for your loss, captain," Thomas said. But truthfully, Thomas felt little little sorrow or pity for the death of their fellow shinigami. Now they have little reason to keep me around. Darn, and I wanted to gain a bit more of their trust. Oh well...
