The Devil Within

For once, Kishou's mask was off as he walked through the human world. Tokyo had been a popular haunt for him ever since his first mission there so many years ago. Sometimes he'd stay out here for so long that the high elites had to call him back to the sanctuary, but he never minded returning. It was a nice place, even if it was boring and full of simpletons that didn't yet see how powerful he was. How he could be stuck with such a pathetic designation as "low elite" he did not know, but it wouldn't be long before he made his move to the top anyway. This is what he kept telling himself, a constant mantra that played through his head: "I'll conquer them all."

Kishou was not totally lost in thought as he floated so high above the pathetic humans of Tokyo, so he noticed the change in spiritual pressure in the area and looked up warily at his new toy. Sadly, the sun obscured Kishou's view so that he could only speak a genial greeting: "What the hell do you want?"

Landing on the ground before the Vizard Kauzki simply gave him a slightly cold stare. His right hand wrapped solid around the handle of Rounin Ryuu. Kauzki himself still having the blade shealthed. Resting against his right shoulder. His left hand in it's corresponding pocket.

Looking up at Kishou Kazuki made a slightly signing sound. Pointing his shealthed blade at him before opening his mouth to speak.

"Just where have you been? Kishou."

Kishou smiled and stared at Kazuki for a quick second before putting on a veil of innocence: "What do you mean, Kazuki-san? I can usually be found here." The first thing Kishou noticed was that Kazuki had his hand on his zanpakuto... This was no simple inquiry; Kazuki came here looking for a fight. Still wearing a smile of pure happiness, Kishou placed his left hand on his zanpakuto as well.

"We both know that you didn't come here just to find me. So tell me, is it the Sanctuary that's angry with me or just you?" With that, Kishou unsheathed his zanpakuto and pointed it at Kazuki without a single look of aggression. "Answer quickly, boy."

Kazuki had nothing but a dry smirk across his face. Kenshou was the one Vizard other then Vincent that Kazuki himself didn't trust. It wasn't because of his actions or his ways but because his guts told him to watch out. Kenshou did as ordered, and displayed Flawless loyalty. never questioning anything asked of him. But his eyes. They screamed out lair. His aura. Leaked out mistrusting. And his voice. It was to smooth. Almost like each word was meant to draw you into the path of his blade. Not to even mention his zanpakuto. Kazuki knew what he was here to do. What he needed to find out. And nothing would stop him from getting the answers he was looking for.

Finally taking notice to Kenshou after quite a long period of time had past Kazuki finally spoke. His voice as calm, and dry as his expression.

"You can usually be found here huh? Is that really true? Or is it just another act of deception created by that Zanpakuto of yours?"

Slowly taking a few steps forward the Vizard Leader made no acts of aggression or hostility. Simply walking. However he still needed to know something.

"Just be honest with me? None of the sly shit your so accustomed to. Be straight, and truthful with me for once. What are you intentions?"

OOC: I'd prefer that my zanpakuto not already be known about, unless I've missed something about Elites having to show their releases.

Kishou almost laughed at Kazuki's first question because his whereabouts were probably the one thing he'd never lied about. He was almost always in Tokyo, setting bait and reeling prey in. It was his hobby, though he'd have to be honest and say that he was almost bored of it.

"Why would I lie about where I've been, my friend?" Kishou said, with his last two words dripping sarcasm.

It was even funnier to hear Kazuki ask him about his "intentions". What the hell did his intentions matter, he was pinned to their will for now. None within the Sanctuary had the Sanctuary's interests at heart, that was the one thing he had ever really noticed. Sure, everyone played like they cared for one another and would help when needed, but it was all an act. Everyone had their own plans and own reasons for becoming a part of the Sanctuary; Kishou's plans were just... bigger. As Kishou watched Kazuki step forward, he laughed.

"Are you asking me if I've some plan to unseat you?" Kishou said with shining eyes. "Or are you asking me if I'll let you live when I take over?"

That was all Kazuki needed to hear. Without noticing Kenshou had answered Kazuki's question. He planned to take over. Not happening. Not while he was around.

"You plan to take over? You don't have the abilities to lead. Nor the power to "unseat" me. I have nothing but the interest of the Vizard on my mind. You however seem to only craze power, and authority. Therefore....." Pointing his shealthed zanpakuto at Kenshou Kazuki's reaitsu began to flair. The air immediately growing stall, and humid. Easily creating a also desert like aura around the area. Kazuki's eyes blanketed with silent fury, and sheer anger. "It would seem I cannot allow you to live."

Letting his words sink in Kazuki would allow Kenshou the first move. It was the least he could do for the fallen Vizard. Giving him a fighting chance was in it's own way a true gift from Kazuki to this man. For his mouth had betrayed him. And now. the End was upon him. Kazuki almost felt sorry for him. Not because his death was at hand but because his foolishness, and arrogance had finally turned against him. poor Soul. Kazuki would make his destruction swift. No need to torture such a confused soul.

The change in the air was palpable, he could almost taste it. Kazuki had come here to fight, but he didn't know why he would have to fight. Now that he knew they why, his face was complete anger and frustration. It was almost as if he knew Kishou was a challenging opponent, not some simple pest that had wandered into his path.

"I don't have the abilities to lead? You should be a comedian. I'm influential enough that you had to come out here in some pathetic attempt to take me down instead of going through the proper channels back at the Sanctuary." Kishou said with a smirk. "A man like myself doesn't talk big if he doesn't have the abilities or ambition to back it up. Too bad for you that I have both."

Kishou looked at Kazuki, unsheathing his zanpakuto slowly and deliberately, smiling. He gave a shallow bow for the sake of theatrics and rose again, seeing the same look of anger on Kazuki's face: "Lighten up! It's not that serious! Kishou said.

After that, he let silence hang on the air for just a second before he blasted his own dark reiatsu into the atmosphere with a straight face. He charged at Kazuki and attempted a strong diagonal slash across his body while pointing out the index finger of his right hand: "Hado #4, Byakurai." The lightning released from his finger with an burning intensity, yet Kishou remained silent and straight-faced. And so the battle began.

Kauzki didn't make a single move as Kenshou made his speech. His words were meaningless now. They held to weight to them. They were as blanket as the gaze in Kazuki's eyes. The endless grey of his eyes pirecing right into Kenshou's body. Kazuki watching his every move as if it was a slow motion movie. Each move movement predictable, and easily countered. Kazuki simply frowned before sliding his left foot back. Bringing the shealthed Zanpakuto up, and blocking the blade. The Kido spell following closely behind.


"I am the head of the Vizard Nation. And I have deemed you a danger to the safety of all Vizard. For that. I personality came to destroy you. The Santuary as already labeled you unworthy of the power. i was chosen to bring forth your end." Once the Hado was called Kazuki simply shifted his neck to the opposite direction of the blast. Letting it to blasting right past his head. Not in the least bit effected by the display of power. However, "You should know that as a Low Elite. Your power is greatly lower then my own. How sad. So many craze power, but can't accept that they are not worthy for such greatness. To be so old you are still a child chasing after a balloon. Never to reach it, and never able to grow."

Parrying the blade to his right side Kazuki hoped to create, and opening at Kenshou's midsection. Taking his left foot, and swinging it across his left side. using enough force to both side him flying or sliding back, or to crush at least two ribs. Still with that look of anger in his eyes.

Kishou flowed with Kazuki's parry, spinning to his left and flash stepping behind Kazuki, dodging Kazuki's kick. Kishou could see it in Kazuki's eyes, they were quite similar fighters. Both analytical, both aware, both having the slightest bit of fear... Kishou saw past that fiery anger in Kazuki's eyes and knew it for what it was: pure fear. Fear of falling into the never-ending void that is death and waking up on the other side thinking "if only I had done this or that, I'd still be alive..."

"Dear Kazuki, you're right. My craving power has left me weak and pathetic." Kishou said with a mock frown. "But if my power is 'greatly lower than yours', why did you come instead of one of the others? Just to be sure the job is done right?"

Kishou's left hand darted out with great speed, attempting to connect with Kazuki's spine and send him sliding away. For now, Kishou would treat this as a game and play accordingly. Once Kazuki stopped fooling around, he would do the same. But for now, Kazuki would be his new toy.

"You came here out of fear. You came here because you need to know that you're my better." Kishou said, then he dropped his voice into an almost inaudible whisper. "You're not. But if you'd like to keep thinking you are... prove it."

Kishou stood in the air with his zanpakuto at his side, no stance or preparedness. The smile plastered across his face was his challenge.

It would seem Kenshou did at least have "some" fight in him. As expected for one being allowed to become a Vizard. Yet still Kazuki saw no reason to draw his blade. There was still no need for it. Yet with his childish words entering into his ear drums Kazuki simply grinned. The great anger in his eyes shifting into a more relaxed, and bored stare.

Lifting his free left hand up Kazuki simply slapped the hand away. using what little force he needed to counter such a basic attack. Yet as his hand came into connect with Kenshou's wrist Kazuki would take hold of it with an iron grip. Looking to force the Vizard into a more potential posotion. So he could hear what he had to say clearly.

"Why did I come? because the other were to lazy to come themselves. You think I came because I want to know who is the stronger? I already know. Your rank nothing only speaks for itself, but also the level of your fighting ability. Who do you think gives us our ranks. The High Elites? The Low Elites? No. It is the very person that both made you, and I into Vizard. Our created saw you as nothing more then a low ranked loser, and gave you that rank accordingly. If your power even rivaled mine then you would have been instantly seated above me, and put in charge. yet your not....." Letting the wrist go, and dropping down Kazuki preformed a sudden Flash Kick. Aiming to send Kenshou airborne. Yet as he finished the rotation Kazuki would speak again. "But answer me this Kenshou. Why were you given the rank of Low Elite if you believe your power rivals my own?"

Kishou allowed himself to be placed into Kazuki's grip, slightly surprised at him overreacting to such a simple attack. But Kishou understood once he heard him speak, he was still trying to play mind games and demoralize him. Sadly for Kazuki, Kishou was the master of mind games.

"Our creator saw what I wanted him to see." Kishou said with a sly smile.

As Kazuki rose into the air, Kishou watched the attack flow through the air. Kazuki didn't yet realize that Kishou wasn't just another pathetic vizard. He switched his sword into his left hand and his right arm thrashed into the air to meet Kazuki's calf, aiming to send him off balance again. Watching Kazuki land, he attempted a slice across Kazuki's arm. Nothing fatal, just enough to let him know that this wasn't a game and that Kishou wasn't to be trifled with.

"I don't believe anything. I know." Kishou said with a look of pure boredom. "It seems that we understand each other a little better now. But I don't plan on using any more of my brain than necessary on a man soon to be dead."

So he believed he could fool the Maker. Whom Kazuki got his own information from. His arrogance was plastered across his brow. So easily pick off. It was like his body radiated stupidity. To the point where any hope of intelligence was doomed to discretion of simple knowlegde. What a truly sad individual.

Yet as his mind compiled data constantly Kazuki had almost forgotten his body was still in motion. Once again kazuki had found himself between a rock, and a hard place. Kenshou's attack, and his almost zero chance of escape. Yet the most unlikely thing would happen. Kazuki's zanpakuto would burst from it's sheath in a spiraling torrent of flames. Seperating the two as Kazuki would now be standing with a released Rounin Ryuu in his hand.

"Very well then Kenshou. It would seem Rounin Ryuu is about tired of my fooling around. I would suggest you release your zanpakuto. I don't really feel like fighting two on one."
