| "Dammit!" Vormund spoke quickly, waving the acidic blood off of his weapon. He was so preoccupied with that, he barely noticed the way the bug was coming toward him, until it was lifting him into the air by his stomach. "Argh!!" The Doll shouted as he was thrown into the sky, Hannelore's whimpers and sobs barely audible. She certainly felt that one, and didn't like it. As he reached the apex of his flight, Vormund swung his weapon down toward the ground, the chained mace trying to wrap around the bugs' head. | |

| The creature was almost ecstatic, upon barely picking up noise from the Bount hidden within the golem. But the creature did not expect the golem to attack in midair; it was taken by surprise as it felt chained mace swing past it and wrap around its large head. For a second, the insect stood still, not quite knowing what to expect. Then, with a screech it grabbed onto the chain with one of its scorpion claws, and swung the end of its body, which had a large pincer, toward the flying golem, aiming to strike it in the midsection. | |

| Vormund let out a small laugh, at once comforting Hannelore and trying to frighten the bug. As his Golem's Raserei ended, the chain on his staff began shortening, dragging the Doll down to the bug as it retracted, much like a fishing rod. As he flew toward the giant insect, Vormund yanked back on the one end of his weapon, aiming to strangle the behemoth. During all of this, Hannelore kept screaming, being thrown around inside Vormund's chest cavity. The darkness, combined with the constant movement, freaked her out even more than seeing the giant bug would have. "Vormund..." She cried out. | |

| Unfortunately for Vormund, the giant insect was not a creature easily intimidated. Mere noises or words had no meaning to it, as it did not understand their meanings; only sheer force could strike any sort of doubt or fear into it. Thus, it met Vormund's charge head-on, yanking on the chain as to lessen the grip that was partly strangling it and to accelerate Vormund's fall. Waiting like a spider for its prey, the insect steadied itself upon the ground and held out both of its praying mantis arms towards the sky, like huge spikes, aiming to impale the Doll with its scythe-like claws. | |

| "Hannelore, roll!" Vormund called out as he went about adjusting his flight. He flew quickly, steadily working up the momentum he needed. Inches away from the spikes, Vormund threw his body against one, ripping off the stone on his right leg. The large chunks of stone tried to crush the scythe-like limb, now seperated from the host body. Underneath that, instead of an empty area or blood, a glittering golden boot could be seen. "Argh!" He screamed, eyes darkening from the pain. However, he would not give up his opportunity. So as the Doll went by, Vormund yanked back on the chain of his weapon, swinging the other end at that claw he got harmed by. | |

| The insect shrieked in glee. If there was one sound that it reacted to, it was the sound of pain and agony that had just escaped from the golem's mouth. But the creature was temporarily lost in its excitement, and it didn't notice Vormund striking at one if its arms. A sickingly crunch pierced the air as the weapon struck through its praying mantis arms. The creature froze for a second, then released another shriek of rage, angry that its prey was being so difficult to obtain. It tilted its head, its large horn facing Vormund, and pushed off the ground, flying through the air almost like a makeshift spear as it aimed for Vormund's chest. | |

| This time, Vormund was determined to not get hit. With a plan in mind, he threw himself straight down to the ground, so as to dodge the insect. As he passed by the bug, the chain of his weapon pulled itself taut, leaving only a little chain. So, if his plan worked, the bug would be yanked down straight after him, to where Vormund had his fist outstretched to strike. | |

| As the creature flew over Vormund, it was yanked towards him and into the golem's punch. The armor plates on its head splintered from the impact of the blow, acid spilling from the cracks and steaming as it made contact with the golem's fist, though it did not burn through. But the insect was as determined as ever. It grabbed onto the golem's fist with its one of its scorpion arms, and its pincer-ended tail sped towards the Vormund's upper region, aiming to close around the golem's neck and either choke or even crush its neck. | |

| Vormund let out a great growl, holding onto his staff only with the left hand while he reached out his right toward the insect, bracing himself against the ground. It was then that the acid hit his fist, melting through just enough of the onyx on his left hand to let Hannelore see the great foe. Of course, through the little peephole, Hannelore saw enough to send her scurrying off to the other side of Vormund, letting out another shrill scream.
Between Hannelore's growing fear and the damage he took from the insect's attack, Vormund's upper body and right fist cracked and fell to the ground, revealing more of that same golden armor.

| The insect hissed as its pincers failed to reach Vormund's neck. Why did the golem have to thwart its hunt? It instead wrapped the pincers around Vormund's outstretched hand, hoping to cause at least some damage to that limb.
The creature had not been noticing the change in Vormund's armor, partially because the transformation was gradual and also because it was so intent on eating Hannelore. But now, it felt a tweak of apprehension as shining gold was revealed on the golem's skin. The creature did not know if there was anything to worry about, but it was suddenly filled with the urge to attack the golem as quickly as possible before more golden armor was revealed.

| Noticing that he had stopped the insect for now, Vormund swung his staff at the bug, calling out Golem's Raserei once more. This time, he directed the chain to, if all went according to plan, wrap around and disable the insect's pincers. He knew that any time now, he'd be reaching his next form and he wanted to cause a bit more damage before he did. | |
