Explosive Commissionaires

Today was a very important day for Kyoshiro Mibu, Fukataicho of the 5th Squad, he was training with another Fukataicho. his eyes scanned across the training ground of the 11th division. The location for their training match made by the the Captains, as Kyoshiro's zanpakuto was wild, and they felt he would need the largest training field so the destrustion didn't spread. They even went so far as to put up a barrier to contain it.

Really was it that necessary?

With his mind thinking a mile a minute Kyoshiro focused on his match. Thinking of who he would be facing, and what challenges it would bring him. Squaring his shoulder, and popping his neck, fingers, wrists, and back watched the spot before him where his sparring partner would appear.

As Menaldi entered the practice field, he wondered who he would be facing. All he knew was that it would be another Shinigami Lieutenant. He firmed his grip on his zanpakuto as he entered the large Twelth Division training grounds. He looked around to find an untamed environment as he walked closer to the middle. As a precaution, a barrier was placed to ensure the battle could not leave the battlefield. 'Whoever I am fighting must be a very destructive shinigami. It is best that I make sure to keep my guard up.' As he finally found his sparring partner, he readied himself both mentally and physically. At first, he took a defensive stance, with his zan held horizontally, but then he shunpo'd forward, still keeping his zan in the same position as he rushed upon his fellow lieutenant.

So his sparring partner for today was Menaldi Osen, Vice-Captain of the 6th division.

How interesting...

Which out even a hint of emotion, or reaction to his straightforward attack Kyoshiro quickly drew his first blade from his back, the one located on his left shoulder in his corresponding hand, and then his right following the same scheme. Taking this time to rush for his opponent Kyoshiro would mutter under his breathe. "Ye lord, mask of blood and bone! Flutter of steel wings, ye who fights the beast! Raise thy spear and strike my enemy!"

With a leap, some 30 yards away from Osen, Kyoshiro would preform a mid-air spin before firing a yellowish arc of energy downward towards the approaching Vice-Captain. Looking to score an early hit. Whispering out a simple. "Hado number Thirty-two Okasen...."

Upon a closer look, Osen realized that the person he was lunging at was the 5th division vice-captain, Kyoshiro Mibu. However, as he and Kyoshiro had crossed blades, he couldn't quite remember what abilities his zanpakuto held. However his mind went to a different subject as his opponent launched a hado spell from the lower thirties.

Not wanting to get hit by a spell of even that level, he held held his zanpakuto horizontally and released his zanpakuto with the phrase, "Bare your fangs, Kurotsuki!" He then swiveled his blade in a circle between his fingers, creating an energy arc that reduced the damage. He panted after blocking the attack and then got in a stance with his feet so he could take off in a hurry.

Taking a look at Menaldi Kyoshiro muttered a almost silent phrase "Blow everything to pieces, Tenro!" Taking the twin blades, and slamming them together at the end of the handles Kyoshiro only stared at Menaldi as he ran both hands down towards, and over the blades. The sword changing into a sheathed kodachi, red it seemed all around. kyoshiro's right hand grasping the handle of the kodachi, drawing it slowly as he pulled sheath from sword. Holding the sheath in his left hand, under-handed position, and lifting his left arm so it extended forward. Placing the sword in his right hand on the middle of the sheath, pointing the blade directly at Menaldi.

Menaldi ran to the left of Kyoshiro for about 10 yards before jumping to a tree branch and crouching his body before jumping forward with his legs and bringing his body up, propelling himself forward and up while swinging his blade above his head and then bringing his blade back down at Kyoshiro, though at a distance where it wouldn't be lethal, while he charged his Rousuru.

using his sheath Ranryou blocked the strike by bracing himself with bent knees. The full force absorbed by the ground. Causing a small crater to appear in it's wake. Kyoshiro only stared into Menaldi's eyes. The red glow around his sword fading as he parried Menaldi back, and swung his blast once, releasing an arc of energy which would explode on first contact with whatever it was. Tho it was currently focused on menaldi.

Menaldi stumbled back after being pushed away by Kyo's blade and was sent flying backwards by the explosion, ruining his focus and negating his Rousuru. 'An explosive wave. I must carry caution while approaching him.' Menaldi announced under his breath "Hanto," as he rose his blade above his head and swung it down, releasing a completely black clone of Menaldi, who was currently rushing at Kyo shiro with the intent to clash blades with him for a couple of seconds or slash him if he was lucky, while the real Menaldi rushed behind him and intended to stab through his clone to reach Kyo with his blade.

Watching his enemy closely Kyoshiro narrowed his eyes in concentration. What was his next move? Would he keep his distance to say out of the range of his attacks. Or attack head on. Lucky for him e wouldn't have to wait long for the answer. It was a head on attack with a type of clone. Two on one was that bad in Kyoshiro's eyes. The seriousness in them real. He only wondered if Ayaka, and Atsuko were watching. he was surprised he didn't hear Ayaka yelling above everyone else for him to win. Good thing tho. It was sometimes hard to concentrate when a girl is always pressuring you to do "this", and do "that". But....He would win....

"Shinkami, Tenro!"

Drawing the hidden blade from his sheath, his left hand grasping it and drawing it in the under hand position, Kyoshiro would slam to the ends of the swords together. Connecting them as the clone began to rush for him. As the two connected blade extended outward, about another five to six feet a piece, Kyoshiro began to twirl it around his body before suing the momentum to constantly spin it directly before him. Reaitsu formed around the swinging sword, and instantly formed a shield, yet from this shield several smaller thin needle type blasts would fire out like that of machine gun bullets. Just as the clone got 6 or so feet away from Kyoshiro.

It would seem that Menaldi was directly behind it, hopefully the explosions cause by the multitude of blasts would drive him back. Putting distance between them.

As Menaldi trailed behind his clone, he noticed that it dissapated roughly six feet from Kyo. Menaldi stopped in his tracks and put his right arm in front of his head, which was turned away and planted his feet into the ground in an attempt to not create more distance between them. He then ran behind a nearby tree to attempt to wait out the nearby explosions. After a couple of seconds, he got an idea from another fight he was in. First, he cut through the tree he was next to while pushing it in Kyo's direction. Then he quickly tried to get to a tree to the right of Kyoshiro, and crouch behind a bush. From there, he would watch Kyo in order to get the perfect oppurtunity to strike.

Leaping backwards while disconnecting the two blades Kyoshiro would notice two things: a missing Menaldi, and a tree falling towards him. Side-stepping, and leaping pward Kyoshiro would slash through the tree, gaining freedom as he was now airborne. How to snuff Menaldi out was another problem. one that made the edge of his lips twitch upward into a like smirk before disappearing back into the silent, Kyoshiro.

Swinging his swords downward two waves would blast forward down towards the spot where the tree was, then one to the right of the tree, and one directly behind the tree, leaving on the area behind him untouched.

Once Menaldi saw the Kyo jump into the air, he immediately followed him, not expecting the wave of energy that knocked him back down. As he fell to the ground, he hit many trees along the way and finally fell to the ground with a thud. After getting up, he went farther into the wilds of the training ground to try and conceal himself.

Landing back on the ground Kyoshiro took this time to begin charging the Expanding Burial. if he oponnet would allow him to sit her want wait then Kyoshiro would do it gladly. Giving him time to prepare wasn't wise. yet under his breath, no louder then a whisper Kyoshiro would begin a chant. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man!" The reiatsu on his blades beginning to grew stronger, and strong as Kyoshiro began preparing quite the combo. If Menaldi didn't react soon he would be in for a world of hurt.

Once secured somewhere deeper in the forest, he then looked to see where Kyoshiro was, leaving the area he was in to get closer to the middle. Once he got his sight on Kyoshiro, he then ran back into the trees and circled behind him. Then, he jumped into the air and tried to make a slash at Kyoshiro from behind.

"Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!"

Just as Kyoshiro turned around to block the blade coming for him he would only stare into the eyes of Menaldi. All that hiding was very annoying. Now they were up close, and personal. The bladelock created from them both left Kyoshiro is quite the position of comeback. The reaitsu on his blade glowing brighter. What happened next was the result of careful planning, and preparation.

"Hado number thirty-one, Shakaho!"

Suddenly his sword would get covered in a red light. His reaitsu mixing with that of his kido augmenting the sword in an explosive coat. It was a smaller version of Tenro's expanding Burial but an effect replacement. Because now. He could do this.

"Ignite...."

Suddenly between the two, a explosion would wrapped the training grounds. A large crater forming under them both only seconds before the explosion itself went off. Kyoshiro flying out of the smoke, and dust in it's wake with blood dripping down the left side of his face. The ribbon tieing his hair back having been destroyed. Letting loose his long red hair. The wind casuing it to sway as he only watched, and waited. HIs breathing having gotten slightly heavier.

Menaldi had locked swords with him, unfortunately. He could only watch as he prepared his explosion and then detonated it. Menaldi jumped back, blood covering his body, and his shinigami top torn and tattered. He panted heavily as he looked down Kyoshiro, who had also sustained some damage, though from the looks of it, not as much as him.

'Damn it. I can't get close to him without getting blown up. He would easily defeat my Hanto Clones, I can't get in range with Rousuru, and I don't think I have the time for Hashira, and hitting him with it would be even harder. I don't know any kido, and I can't hide. I'm starting to run out of options. I have to come up with some more innovative strategies.'

With that thought, Menaldi waited for Kyo's next move, seeing that h had no offense to give at the moment.

Seeing as Menaldi wasn't going to attack Kyoshiro took a step forward before leap into the air above him. Swinging his left handed sword downward releasing a blast of energy. It would also explode on first contact. keeping his motion tho Kyoshiro would begin a mid-air spin, landing on his feet at the exact moment his blast would reach Menaldi. Swinging both swords before connecting them, and awaiting his counterattack.

Menaldi was forced to flash step out of the way of the oncoming wave. When he looked over to where he would have been hit, he saw Kyoshiro, waiting for him to attack. He then had another idea, though he had to be careful since this was a sparring match. He swung his sword down, releasing a completely black clone of himself, which attempted to run forward stab Kyoshiro in the abdomen. Menaldi then flashstepped behind Kyoshiro as soon as Kyo either reacted or the clone came within about five feet of him and would also attempt for a stab.
