Defense of the South

Sliding to a sudden halt Kyoshiro only watched the legions of hollow attacking the south gate. he had brought Ayaka along with him cause he felt a strong force but it seemed to have masked itself from them. Hopefully it would await for them to finish off the hollows before trying to attack them. Even if that wasn't the case Kyoshiro, and Ayaka could still handle whatever they threw at him. he was either that confident in their strength or that arrogant. Either way it didn't matter they had a job to do. And it seemed to have noticed them.

Staring at the currently two strongest reaitsu's in the area every hollow, Kyoshiro lost count at 2'000, began to charge at them in wave. The first wave a simple squad of lesser hollow. They each seemed to focus on their claws, teeth, and close range combat. Kyoshiro drew both sword from his back, and readied himself. Looking back at Ayaka, and whispering, "Ready?"

Arriving just behind Kyoshiro, Ayaka was already wielding her shikai, having released it en route. It was a much more effective weapon against large numbers of weaker opponents. Touching down to his left, she heard his question and only offered up a passing response. "Way ahead of ya."

Pouncing forward, Ayaka looped the ring over her right arm, up to her shoulder. Then, in mid-air, she launched the dagger forward, the chain extending as needed. The dagger speared the hollow on the far left of the small group that was approaching, and in that time she began pouring reiatsu into her zanpakuto, charging an attack she planned to use in a moment. Before that could happen though, she touched down, ducking under an attack by the lead hollow. She then pushed off to the right with all her strength.

The dagger's hook end kept it anchored in the hollow on the left side of the group, and since it weighed much more than Ayaka, it served as an anchor for her, allowing her to use her momentum to loop around the group of 6 or so Hollows. The chain extended just enough such that she ended up landing on the back of the large hollow she had speared, with the entire squad wrapped up in a nice corral. With her true attack nearly charged, the chain tightened, keeping the Hollows in place for an attack of opportunity by Kyorshiro.

As Ayaka went on the offensive Kyoshiro decided to back her up. So slowly began to chant as she throw her dagger at the left flanking hollow. "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man!......." Stabbing both swords into the ground below Kyoshiro would form a type of dome with his hands. Holding it directly before is chest. Blue spiritual particles gather in that dome created by his fingers, and growing with each passing second.

"On the wall of blue flame, inscribe a twin lotus. In the abyss of conflagration, wait at the far heavens." Slighting his right foot back, and leaning forward Kyoshiro would hold his kamahameha stance strong as finally two hollows noticed him charging something and charged from the air. Leaving their allies as Ayaka tied them up nice and neat for Kyoshiro. he wuld yell out to her.

"AYAKA!!!!!!"

Pushing the energy forward moments before the hollows closed in Kyoshiro would fire the Kido with both force, speed, and power. The hollows attack him stalling like a force had pushed them back. The energy in his palms compressing as Kyoshiro forced more reaitsu into it.

"Hadō number Sixty-three: Soren Sokatsui!!!!"

Erupting from his hands the blue light would blast the hollows backwards, taking their upper bodies with it as it closed in on the hollows. Seeing him charging such a attack Kyoshiro would sure Ayaka would jump out of the way. The hollows she gathered disappearing in the light as Kyoshiro held his stance. His breathing even, and steady after displaying such an attack. Tho it was apparent sweat was dripping from his forehead. He was more worried about Ayaka then himself. The second wave of hollows backing away slowly as they thought about how one man could kill them so easily. But still that wouldn't stop them. They would charge sooner or later.

A giant form was becoming more and more dinstict from the rest of the hollows, who now looked like babies comparing to it. It had at least hundred times more terrible features than its counterparts, that even its description would make a man shiver.

The Huge hollow moved towards the South Gate, completely unaware of its surroundings, either because it didn't see them or just ignored them. Whatever that things was, one thing was certain; bringing it down would demand a lot of effort.

"It seems you two are working well as a team, I hope you don't mind if I join you as well, younglings" a defeaning yell filled the battlefield. The captain of the 4th division jumped from a nearby building's rooftop and charged towards a random hollow that was fleeing backwards. The captain hold out his left hand, pointing the hollow with his index finger "Hadō #1, Shō!" he shouted and a blue cross-shaped beam was instantly fabricated on his finger, before it's sudden disappearance. The beam reached it's target, pushing the hollow and making it loose its balance, thus forcing it too fall on the ground. Before it could get up, the captain of the 4th division used a shunpo to reduce his distance with it.

He rose the his katana in the air with both hands, before pulling it down, piercing the hollow's skull with it. He turned his gaze at the team and joined them with a shunpo. The old man muttered something in an old and forgotten language. His zanpakuto suddenly was coated with a layer of pure gold, before suddenly revealing his weapon; a golden cross with some letters engraved on all ofits four edges. Stauracius pulled the lower part of the cross, revealing a blade and pointed threateningly towards the huge monstrosity that had appeared before them "Let's purge this abomination together."

(Lily is on her way to the battlefield, fully intent on taking out any Shinigami she can.)

Instead of letting loose with her electrifying attack, instead, Ayaka held off. She heard Kishirou's yell, and that was why. She was a litle annoyed that he feared for her safety - she knew how to take care of herself, thus her mother was the only one allowed to feel that way justly - but it got the point across. She quickly retracted her blade, caught it, and leaped away, just as the twin blue fireballs impacted, and wiped out the Hollows that hadn't already been mortally wounded.

Ayaka lande a few feet to Kyoshiro's left flank. Kyoshiro had technically gotten those kills, but Ayaka took pride in the fact that he had done so becuse she facilitated it. However, she knew that these were just small fries. "Welcome to the fray, Captain," she said, glancing back as Dio arrived. Her eyes returned to the massive hollow, probably some class of Menos. "So... do we have a plan of action? Cause if not, I'm all for whacking until it goes down."

Taking a few steps backwards Kyoshiro joined Captain Dio, and Ayaka, staring up at the huge hollows. His eyes becoming coded with red reishi as he stepped forward in front of the two, and began twirling his swords around. One clockwise, and the other counter-clockwise. His reaitsu increasing as wind began to gather around him, his clothes beginning to sway as he stared up towards the monster. The other hollows seeming to gather around it. Those that could fly flew close to it's face, and those forced to the ground advancing slowly with each of it's gigantic steps.

Kyoshiro's reaitsu turning cold as he entered full out battle mode. Reaitsu gathering around both blades, and the two sheaths on his back. Kyoshiro called forth his zanpakuto. "Blow them all to pieces, Tenro!" Shooting into the sky his two sheaths disappeared before he slammed the end of his swords together, looking to form a double edge sword. But in it's place energy would swirl from the moment they made contact,down till Kyoshiro was holding a sheathed sword. Red in color with a matching sword handle. As kyoshiro drew the sword, and used his shealth as a second weapon the reaitsu he was gathering dissipated upwards into the air. Kyoshiro instantly beginning to charge a technique.

From atop the hollow a figure, and ant in comparison to the bulk of the hollow, would looked down on the group of shinigami seeming to want to halt the advance of the enormous hollow. A frown would crack across the face of this figure. His disappointment steadily increasing from the lack of effort put into the defenses of this gate. "Maybe they just want to join my family?" So with that in mind the figure would leap down from the shoulder of the hollow. Hidden by his size, and land no more then severa lfeet from the group of shinigami.

He would looked them down getting a feel for their level of power, and the appearance of their weapons. A single sword wielder with red hair, long in a ponytail. A girl whom seemed the most lively of the group, and finally a Captain. Old yet still a Captain. The man would sighed before almost whispering to the girl.

"Are you here to join my family?"

For some reason, Ayaka held back from attacking the massive beast. It wasn't that she was afraid, oh no. Instead, she had a strange feeling of dread. Rather, it was like the feeling descended upon her, much like an enemy's reiatsu would with powerful foes. Cautiously, Ayaka switched her weapon around, taking the dagger into her right hand and the ring in her left.

It was at that time that she heard the words whispered to her from behind. Instinctively, Ayaka turned, flipping the dagger into a reverse grip as she whipped her arm back and up, with the intent to ram the blade into the being's head from under their chin, whoever it was. She knew it wasn't an ally, just by the fact they hadn't announced their arrival. Regardless of whether the attack hit or not, Ayaka would kick off afterwords, and put about ten feet's worth of distance between her and this... person.

"Who the hell are you?"

Swiftly, and reflexively leaning his head back, and looking up the dagger would rise and barely miss his chin by only a inch or two. The female leaping back as Druid lowered his head, and smiled at her, the massive hollow opening it;s mouth in a yawn as Druid pointed in the opposite direction, motioning for the girl to follow, and with that he disappeared with a Sonido only moments before the hollow would fire a huge red cero downward towards the group of three. Looking to separate the girl from the other two as Druid would appear some odd meters away standing top a building looking down at the chaos brought on by their attacks. It was glorious.

Lily finally arrived on the scene, her sword at the ready incase someone tried a quick attack. She carefully watched the situation as it developed. To her, it seemed like a lost cause... But her Espada, Lasconni, would want her to stay and fight. Not just that, she'd also want it done without any unneeded risks. She ran all the possibilities through her head as to what could happen. She didn't have as much strength as most of her brethren, but she wans't going to let that stop her. Once she felt ready, she rushed at Kyoshiro, attempting a veritcal slash aimed at his shoulder.

Turning just as Ayaka attacked a being behind them Kyoshiro was shocked to know something as strong as this man had slipped right past them. Ayaka seeming to be his target. Yet before Kyoshiro could attack the huge hollow opened it's mouth. Charging a giant cero before releasing it downwards towards not only Kyoshiro but Captain Diogenes as well. Kyoshiro leaping into the area, his own direction behind away from Ayaka as well as Diogenes as it seemed. The cero would separate them as the Espada wanted. Kyoshiro silently cursing as his spiritual pressure grew dry. Yet that was the least of his worrys as only a split second after landing his personal space was invaded by another outside force.

Turning suddenly, and leaping back was again Kyoshiro's left shoulder was cut, tho shallow the blood trail he left was evident. Kyoshiro's breathing slightly increasing, and turning into short huffs as he eyes his new enemy. A female as it seemed. He didn't speak. Only taking his stance as he continued charging his attack.

The captain dodged the cero with a quick shunpo and bowed before the hollow's quick thinking. As he stood besides Kyoshiro, he suddenly felt the hiding reiatsu that took advantage of this opening. It was too late to save the Shinigami from the slash, but he made sure she wouldn't attack again.

A second after she cut his shoulder, he pointed his finger towards her direction "Hakudo, number 1, Sho!". A blue lightning beam left his hand, directed to the Hollow behind Roga, aiming her chest. Surely, it would be difficult to dodge something as quick and sudden like that.
