Its a good thing theres a hospital nearby.

Seiji had just finished the graveyard shift at the hospital and was ready for a good nights sleep. He had gone two days without sleep and was looking forward to his warm and comfortable bed. As he walked down the hallway towards the exit, he held his left arm up in front of him and with his right hand he grasped his wristband and slid it up and down about an inch simply because it was beginning to become uncomfortable to wear. He rarely removed his wristband because he didn't like the feeling of having nothing to protect himself. He wore his usual clothes. Jeans, black shoes and button shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He sighed as he opened the exit doors and left the hospital. He stopped just outside the doors and glared for a moment at the city before he started to make his way down the sidewalk to his apartment several blocks away.

The night air was cool and refreshing. There wasn't a breath of wind throughout the city, and most people had gone to bed so there were very few cars about. All around it was a very nice night for a walk. Seiji kept his hands in his pockets because it was somewhat cold in the city at four in the morning. Seiji stopped at an intersection, where the red hand demanded him to stop, even though the street was nearly void of any traffic. He looked up at the tall buildings surrounding the intersection which reached nearly thirty stories high. There were no parked vehicles down any of the long streets because these were mainly office buildings and nobody was at work at this hour. The red hand changed in to the white walker allowing Seiji to cross and so he began to make his way to his apartment once more.

With a slight clatter Motaro staggered out of his office building nearly falling on his face. He was physically and mentally exhausted after having spent what seemed like a year stuck in his office. It was nearing the deadline for the release of the new game system his company was developing and they had recently discovered a large bug in one of the games that came preinstalled on it. It had taken the entire team hours and hours of overtime to find a solution and make sure it wouldn't cause any other problems.

He walked over to his car to try to drive home before finally deciding against it. He didn't trust himself in this state to not fall asleep at the wheel and crash. It would add to his sleepiness, but walking seemed to be the better and safer choice.

He continued on his walk enjoying the cool night air on his tired skin. It had been awhile since he hadn't been rushing but at least they had completed it on time. As he walked he raised an eyebrow noticing a familiar face. It seemed he wasn't the only Quincy Council member who was being killed by his work. "Hello Seiji, what brings you up and about at this hour?" He asked already knowing the answer. It would be nice to actually be able to talk to someone as he made his way home. And if he collapsed unconscious at least there was a doctor around to make sure he wasn't dead.

Seiji turned his head in reaction to hearing his name being called and glared at the man on the other side of the street. He glared for a moment before finally recognizing his fellow Quincy councilmen. "Hey, Motaro!" Seiji called out with glee while raising his right hand to wave. He rarely got to speak to a fellow Quincy despite having such a high ranking position among the Quincy so seeing Motaro was something of a picker upper. He jogged to the other side of the street to properly greet Motaro. He extended his right hand towards him for a handshake and replied to his question. "I just got off the graveyard shift at the hospital. I was just on my way home, what about you?"

Seiji questioned the true nature of Motaro's sudden appearance. As good as it was to see another Quincy, the fact that it was in the middle of nowhere at four in the morning made it a little suspicious. It could have been just coincidence Seiji thought, however he was never one to simply accept coincidences such as these.
