Motaro all together seems to be the perfect image of a businessman. He is 5' 9" and weighs about 160 pounds with small shoulders and a long neck. He is always kept cleanshaven and keeps his hair styled at all times. While he usually prefers to wear a suit, he will wear a pure white quincy robe during Council meetings. He also has a pair of glasses that he puts on when he is sniping a target.
Personality: Despite his position as the head of the Quincy Council, Motaro usually focuses most of his time on working with his business. He is generally neutral to all of the races besides the hollows who he will destroy without mercy. This is not because of any hatred or grudge against them, he just looks on them as hungry beasts and has never been given any evidence otherwise. He cares little for fighting on the physical plane and prefers mental challenges and puzzles.
If Motaro had not become a CEO, he probably would have become a politician. He is an amazing public speaker and is skilled at getting what he wants while making the other person feel that they are also getting what they wish for. He is also rather shrewd and calculating when the situation warrants it. Usually though, he works hard to find ways to settle disputes peacefully without any tricks or traps. He is skilled at finding ways to satisfy everyones needs, even if they require unorthodox plans.
Motaro is well supported by his subordinates. As he is a great leader and planner, those that serve him put a lot of trust and faith in him. Due to this, even the other members Quincy Council will usually listen if he has an idea and take his suggestions seriously. Motaro relies heavily on his subordinates feeling that it is important for everybody to get a chance to train and have their voices heard, not just the current leaders.
Fighting Style: Motaro usually relies on his Quincy Bow, preferring his control over that rather than using other items that may give him more power. He prefers long range combat and enjoys sniping enemies from far away. Due his poor sight, he has gotten used to fighting while barely able to see his opponents. Once he puts on his glasses however, he can see for extremely far distances without struggling. He rarely lets opponents get close, usually using Hirenkyaku if an opponent even gets within medium range of him. However, he is skilled in martial arts and can at least defend himself temporarily if he is forced into close range. He won't do much damage like that, but he can at least stay alive long enough to escape.
Background: Motaro was born into one of the oldest Quincy families, the Shisoku family. From a young age he was taught how to use his powers and learned about the struggles that had dominated the spiritual worlds over the years. He showed large levels of aptitude for Quincy abilities, but little care. When he was young he just figured that he would deal with it when he was dead and actually part of the spiritual world. As the family had often produced leaders of the Quincy Council, his parents were disappointed that he did not want to follow his spiritual strengths. However, they decided that it was important to let him decide his own path and helped him focus on his studies. He was eventually accepted into a prestigious university and later became the student body president. This experience helped him gain many of his leadership skills and get used to making tough decisions.
During his time at the university he started to change him mind about how he had been acting for so many years. He realized that since he had the strength to defend the living world, he should use that power instead of letting it stagnate. He once again started training his strengths and was accepted as a Quincy Knight patrolling Karakura Town. At the same time, he took control of his parents failing electronics corporation. Deciding that it needed to be updated for the 21st century, he changed it into a video game company. While the company stock immediately plummeted after this decision, he continued on focusing on the quality of the games. He started to take his experiences from his battles against hollows and made video games around them. To the surprise of many, the popularity of his company soon skyrocketed and it reached new heights.
As this occurred he used his new found wealth to upgrade the Quincy Headquarters. He bulldozed the old rotting building they used to use as a cover and instead built a skyscraper for his companies' and the Quincies' use. This coupled with the reports of his impressive skills in handling hollows led him to be accepted into the Council. After five years of serving, all of his hard work and leadership skills paid off. He was appointed the new leader of the Council after the previous head retired. He has recently finished his fifth year as the head of the council.
