Zankoku ~ Hasegawa's Zanpakuto (Approved)

Name: Zankoku [Cruelty]

Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance: Zankoku holds the appearance of a woman at the age of around 25. She's just a few centimeters taller than Hasegawa's 162, and has a very similar body build although she seems to be a little curvier than her "owner". She has unnaturally pale skin that is very smooth and without any flaw, while her lips hold a pale pink color. Her dark eyes seem to hold a black color to them, similar to her raven black hair which falls slightly past her shoulders. As if to make her eyes seem darker and her skin even paler, Zankoku has dark purple eye shadow that reaches in generous amount around her almond shaped eyes. A row of sparkly white, straight teeth gets flashed at Hasegawa in cruel smiles whenever the two females meet.

Zankoku's clothing consists of black, tight pants and equally black boots that reach up to her mid-calves. On her upper body she wears a dark and purple colored shirt which is always buttoned up to her chin. Around her narrow waist is a rather wide, black belt.

Zanpakuto Spirit Personality: Zankoku finds amusement in all things, be it good or bad things. She likes to taunt Hasegawa, play her around and see what she will manage to let her "owner" do. At first when they had met, Zankoku had just stared at that little princess which claimed to hold the powers over her, refusing to believe she would have to work with someone that looked like a doll. But it was saying something that this particular girl had gotten this particular Zanpakuto, and it hadn't taken Zankoku long to find out how much they actually fit together. Hasegawa's temper, her anger, violent side... all of this excited and amused Zankoku. She knew she had gotten a strong Shinigami to work with, and she enjoyed each minute she could spend in training/torturing that cute little Shinigami.

It's clear to Hasegawa that her Zanpakuto's spirit is never up to any good, and yet she doesn't really mind. In complete opposite of her beautiful and petite appearance, Hasegawa holds a very violent side which makes everybody careful of never questioning why she is in the 11th division. So the cruel Zanpakuto spirit and she get along alright. There is however one thing that gets between them, and that is Hasegawa's admiration of her captain. Zankoku despises that, and uses every opportunity she can get to point out to her "owner" just what she thinks of this -stupid- admiration.

Sealed Zanpakuto: The Zanpakuto has a blue hilt that's decorated with silver. It's blade has a golden color to it, while the part that's used to cut with has the normal silvery look as other blades do. The Zanpakuto is slightly shorter than other Zanpakuto's, as it has the same appearance as a wakizashi. It's length is 55 cm (around 22 inches). The sheathe for the Zanpakuto is made of a black, rather hard material which makes it good to use in defensive moves. It's covered in silvery decorations, along with a blue ribbon that's tied around it.

Shikai: Upon releasing her Zanpakuto into it's shikai state, the small looking katana seems to split in half before one's eyes. Each half of it appears in Hasegawa's hands, until it takes the full forms of 2 bladed Japanese tonfa that both reach the length of roughly 25 inches. In her right hand she holds a silver colored one, while in her left hand she holds a black bladed one. These weapons are very simple, yet deadly. These "swords" have a simple, double edged, double pointed blades.

The black, wire-wrapped handles are pinned to the blades and they have a generous swell in the middle, which, in all likelihood would provide for much more control over the movement and/or swiveling of the blades, especially if they are used in the traditional tonfa style. The designs of the blades add the benefit of being both a close quarters as a distance weapons. By swinging the blades around, and allowing the grip to rotate 180° in the user's hands, the user has access to both a long blade and a short one.

Shikai Ability: The shikai boosts up Hasegawa's speed and agility, her reiatsu becomes much heavier than normally, as she usually doesn't seem to have that big of a reiatsu field. Her natural stamina also gets doubled up. Having a melee type of Zanpakuto, Hasegawa has trained all the time and started building her stamina, strength and speed up at a rapid speed. Then she uses this shikai release and the weapons she gets out of the shikai to add even more to her already trained body. Her fighting style is brutal, ruthless, as she charges out at anyone that wishes to take her on. She's not a complete barbarian though, as she does have a brain that functions fine.

Techniques:
1. Supi-doappu! [Speed up!] Hasegawa puts her blades together and says the name of the technique. Her speed gets then channeled up, so much that she has now reached the speed level of a captain and leaves afterimages when using flashsteps around the opponent. The technique starts in the same post in which it's performed, and lasts for 3 posts, then the 4th post she starts slowing down so that her speed is again at her own rank. This is available at Shikai level. It takes her 3 posts to be able to charge up for using the technique a second time, however it's not recommended to use it more than 3 times a day since it tires the body a lot.

I call this approved. Truly, those passive abilities and this technique are worthy of a melee zanpakuto.
