Appearance: Kuketsu is 6 feet and 1 inch tall. He is slim and not too muscular. He has short, unkempt black hair and bright blue eyes that glisten with youth and vitality. He wears the Captain’s haori outside his standard shinigami outfit. He wears white, fingerless gloves. He is clean and burning with energy. His facial complexition is soft and caring when he is not performing his duties. When he is, it becomes angry and tense.
Personality: In times of peace, Kuketsu is a friendly, nonjudgmental person who always has a reassuring smile on his face when around others. When alone, he usually spends his time training in a quit environment or stroll around the Seireitei. He is very intelligent when it comes to his job and battles; using his vast intellect to maximize a favorable outcome. He is lenient and lets his squad members do what they want within the laws of the Seireitei. When his subordinates are having difficulties, he willingly helps them, whether it is personal issues or manual labor. All he wants is everyone to respect each other.
When faced with leadership responsibilities he becomes serious and collected. He always fills out his paperwork promptly and never complains about it. In battle, he first sends a group of his followers to fight. If one of his followers makes a mistake, he takes full responsibility for their actions. However, he will punish that person depending on the intensity of their mistake. He is wise. He can easily determine the strenght of his enemies just by observing them for a few seconds. If he fells that the threat is to powerful, he will fight instead of sending others. He will not send anyone out to battle if he knows the enemy is too powerful for normal shinigamis. If the enemy is unknown, he would join the squad and escort them to battle. He deeply cares about his followers and will do anything to protect them.
Fighting Style: Kuketsu uses a combination of traps and speed attacks. He first traps and constricts the enemy, then swiftly attacks before they can get free. He prefers to not kill his enemy, but he will unwillingly if all else fail or is ordered to by his superiors.
Background: When Kuketsu was alive, he grew up in a city where crime was abundant. He had many friends, but was continually antagonized. So Kuketsu fought back. However, he was weak, but intelligent. He made elaborate traps that irritated his enemies. He made deep pits that they would fall into. He dropped heavy objects on their heads. He electrified door knobs, shocking and surprising them. He occasionally set their pants on fire. His traps were very effective at discouraging his foes. They did not know that Kuketsu was the person responsible for their irritation. Yet, this did not stop the crimes from happening. One day he caught a fatal disease. One month later he could not resist it anymore and died a painful death.
When he awoke in his afterlife, he found himself in the Rukongai District. He had no recollection of his life before he died. However, he had a very similar life. He made lots of friends and lots of enemies. He made new traps to save himself from being harmed by others. However, he realized that he needed to become physically stronger in order to protect himself when his intellect fails. So, he joined the Soul Reaper Academy and gained many new skills and abilities. He learned how to kido, awakened his zanpakuto, became an expert swordsman, and mastered Shunpo. After he graduated, he received a spot in the 6th division of the Gotei 13 and flew up the ranks. After 100 years, he had mastered most of his zanpakuto abilities and was given Captain status of the 6th division. He was filled with joy and energy. He finally has acquired the strength needed to protect the ones he cares about. He finally has the power to stop evil.
