Training the Vice

Captain Ranryou Roga stood in the middle of the 2nd Squad training grounds, to his left a small pond filled with water, quite peaceful when the moon reflected off the surface of the life giving liquid, and then to his right where a larger, more open field granting extra breathing room during the training session. Today however it would seem he had to train with his Vice-Captain. Syn. it wasn;t for any reason other then the fact that Ranryou keep the skills of his squad on point. There was no excuse for a dull fighter in the 2nd Squad, and from what Ranryou himself had seen Syn had been slipping. So it lead to this.

"Hurry your lazy ass up Syn. I don't have all day."

"You don't have to wait all day", Syn said coming out of the shadows. He had been there for a while and finally felt like coming out.

Turning to his left, and watching the shadows Ranryou only smiled. "Bout time. i was wondering how long you would hide from me over there." Not the least bit effect by Syn's arrival Ranryou simple nodded to him, and rised his hand, making a motion for Come with it before grinning, and taking his fighting stance. First by sliding his right foot back, and squaring his shoulder so they now where turned toward's Syn, bending his knees, and putting the most force on his forward left leg. Then taking his left arm, and rising it so his open palm was facing Syn bending it a the elbow to give him extra flexibility, and his right hand into a fist place at his waist.

"Show me what you got Syn."

Syn looked at Ranryou as if he was bored. His eyes were half closed and his head slightly tilted. He then put his right leg forwards while putting most of his weight on his back left foot so when he would kick off the ground, he would move quickly and gracefully. He the, kicking off the ground with so much force that a small crater about a foot wide formed where his right foot was, he dashed at Ranryou. As he got close, he flash stepped behind him and aimed a kick at his lower spine hoping for early paralysis.

Smiling slightly Ranryou only watched Syn as if he was walking towards him. So when he used a flash step Ranryou wasn't surprised. Turning around the moment of the kick Roga would dip his right foot downward as his midsection shifted, extending his left, and right arm so they were in an 180 degree angle, and dipped his head down. Letting the kick go flying above his head, although he still had breathing room. Then with a simple backflip the Captain would put some distance between the two before closely the distance almost instantly, spinning mid-air before trying to roundhouse kick Syn toward's the more open area of the training grounds.

As the roundhouse kick came, Syn did something he had been practicing for a while. Instead of just blocking the attack with a forearm or just dodging it all together. Syn caught it in his right elbow and right leg. He then aimed his palm towards Ranryou's midsection hoping for a hit.

letting his grin widen even more Ranryou allowed his leg to be caught, and as the strike for his midsection came he would catch it, and try to twist the both of them fully to the left, taking his free leg, and using it to push himself, and Syn apart.

Syn wasted no time in going after Ranryou. He quickly followed him with a flashstep to his front quickly taking out his zanpakutou. Syn stabbed at Ranryou's midsection the sweet spot. The abdomilaota. However it's spelled.

Without losing a bit of focus or momentum Ranryou would watch Syn try, and corner him with his sword. Letting his feet drag against the ground Ranryou would slam his left foot back, faulting his movements suddenly, and then rapidly change directions the moment of Syn's stab. Letting the sword pass right by his stomach as he spin-sidestepped to Syn's left side, Whipping his left hand out at the end of the spin as to slap Syn clean across the field more into the open training grounds.

Syn was trapped for a bit, but he wasn't down and out. He saw the slap coming and blocked it with the hilt of his blade. He then re sheathed his zanpakutou and flash stepped above him front flip kicking straight down with his right leg.

Once again Ranryou noticed the back doors Syn left open. as the frontal kick came down Ranryou would shift his feet again. Spinning, and jumping into the air. Letting the kick soar past his face as he spinning mid-air, now higher then Syn, and roundhouse kick downward, trying to crash the Vice into the ground.

Syn met the kick head on only to be forced into the ground. He was still standing, but the force of the impact left a small crater on the ground. Syn then said,"Come on show me what you've got" and assumed a phoenix position.

Laughing, and dropping back several fluttering steps Ranryou would place his right hand behind his back, placing it on the small of his back, and hold his left hand up at and angle so his extending open palm lay ready, almost mocking the Vice-Captain. Then standing up straight in the same position Ranryou would connect his heels, and stood with his feet point as if at 11 o' clock, and 1 o' clock.

"Ladies first."

"Shouldn't you go first then?" He then flash stepped to Ranryou's front and almost immediately aimed a punch at his midsection.

Smiling st Syn Ranryou simple increased his reaitsu. Letting the Vice-Captain know that this was a Captain he was fighting. Without much effort the 2nd Squad Captain would catch his Vices punch with his bare open palm, locking down on the fist, and holding fast.

"Yet you were the first to attack."

Rising his left leg, and coiling it against his stomach, and turning his body Ranryou would try, and forcefully kick the vice-Captain into the wall on the other side of the training ground. not letting go of his hand still the moment before his kick would reach.

Syn was trapped now and no matter how hard he tried Ranryou was too strong. He ended up getting kicked into a wall... HARD. He looked at Ranryou and said,"That was nothing... little girl".

"Then by all means get serious Syn." Ranryou would speak in a mocking tone as he let the pressure come forth from his body. Blankets the area in spiritual pressure before looking Syn dead in his eyes, and grinning. His clothes flapping from the sheer force behind his reaitsu, making the very air dry, and humid as he began to step slowly concentrated steps toward's Syn. With each step the level of pressure increasing. Ranryou would shake his head a few thing while walking before giving Syn some advice. "Make me get serious."

"Fine then", Syn said releasing his spiritual pressure. "You wanted it". He then was behind Ranryou in an instant and aimed a kick at his spine again except this time he was ready for a counter.

As if the same thing would work twice. Turning around Ranryou would simply ducked, and dodge before jumping mid-air, and repeating the same counter as before this time placing his hand on Syn's shoulder, and bringing his leg around from behind trying to hit him square in the side of his neck, trying to send him back into the same spot on the wall as before.

As the foot came, Syn smiled and blocked it with his reiatsu. Grabbing Ranryou's leg and swinging him towards a tree.

Not really impressed that Syn blocked such a low level kick Ranryou simply allowed himself to be thrown. However....once he approached the tree he would rotate his body mid-air, allow both feet to meet the tree where he would then push off like a speeding bullet. Reaching Syn only a half second or two after his throw. He would then throw his first punch of the fight. Aiming to send it craching into his jaw, using both the force of his muscles, and the speed of his apprach to give the punch near devestation damage, enough to both send the Vice-Captain flying while also giving him a lesson in combining speed in power.

Syn saw his Captain push off at the tree towards him and as he got close enough to punch Syn thought Too Slow. So when his captain punched Syn ducked and aimed a punch at Ranryou's stomach.

As his punch clearly missed Ranyou's eyes only smiled as Syn's punch connected with his stomach. However. It seemed to have little to no effect. Ranryou simply stood where he was with a fist to his abs. Staring down Syn as he used his left hand to pull Syn's away from his body, and then letting go.

"Your reflexs are good but your dances leaves your punchs with little to no power. Center your feet, and concentrate your spiritual energy into each of your strikes. This makes them stronger."

Leaping back, and taking his stance once again Ranryou motions for Syn to come with it one more time. However this time he would show him the true speed, and power behind a Captain's strikes.

Hearing his Captain, give him yet another lesson, Syn did as he was told. He concentrated so much spiritual energy into the main point in his body, that his robe fluttered around almost flying off. He then transferred his charged energy into his hands and feet. He kicked off the ground with his right foot leaving yet another crater. He was going faster than before and the velocity at which he was coming could be deadly, but this was his captain he'd have to be on watch. As he got close quickly spun in mid-air grabbing his zanpakuto quickly and faking as if he was going to swipe at his head and concentrated more energy into his right foot, turning in a complete 90 degree angle aimed a kick at his face.

Liking how Syn was finally getting the pint Ranryou himself reinforced his arms, and body with spiritual energy. Focusing more into his arms as Syn made his move. "A lot better." Was al Ranryou muttered under his breathe as Syn came with his blade. It took him by surprise, and Ranryou insticntively braced himself. Focusing more reaitsu into his arms. So when the fake came, and Syn came with a kick Ranryou was able to block with his right forearm. The force of the kick still cause him to slide back, yet he was still connected to Syn.

Grabbing his leg, and pulling down Ranryou tried to bring Syn back land side, where he would hop up, still connect to his foot, and come around with his own kick. Using his own reaitsu to give his right foot added power. Thought he was think of several counter attack for Syn's upcoming manuvers. he was his Vice-Captain after.
