Forum Rules

RULES!

Registration:

1.) Your username should be the same as your character's name. This is to help speed up the roleplay and generally makes things easier for everyone. You can change your username as many times as you want so if you decided early on that you want your character to be known as something different, you can do so.

2.) As of this posting, you can have up to three characters in the RP. Each character must be on a separate account and when you make another account, you MUST inform the staff either through messaging or posting in the "Introduce Yourself" topic in General Discussion. Failure to do so will result in the other accounts being banned. We can check IP addresses, so don't try to abuse the system.

3.) You cannot post in any of the RP sections until your character has been approved and you cannot fight until your weapon/powers have been approved. You can however post in the other sections of the forum.

General:

1.) Excessive swearing is not allowed. Some cursing is allowed, but I don't want to see posts that are just filled with profanities. Even if that is in your character's personalities, you can get by just by writing "he began cursing everything in sight as old ladies looked at him in shock."

2.) Flaming or harassing other members is grounds for temporary banning or permanent banning if the problem continues. We are trying to make a community here, not be cruel to others. Any bashing on people due to religious beliefs, race, sexuality, political views, or anything of that nature is not tolerated.

3.) Spam outside the Spam Forum is not allowed. And even in that area, there are a few small rules. Just obey them and there will be no problems.

4.) There are rules in almost all of the sections for a reason. They are to be read and followed just like these rules should be. If you make a mistake due to not reading the rules, you shall receive no pity. If there are any questions about a specific rule, they should be brought up in the FAQ area.

5.) Staff decisions are final unless overridden by someone of higher power (such as an admin overriding a mod's decision.) In the end, final decisions lay with myself and they can only be repealed by a majority vote from the rest of the staff. So arguing with the staff is not allowed and is grounds for being warned. It is also pointless as it will not get you anywhere. All you will be doing is wasting your own time.

6.) It is preferred that your avatar is of your character or at least related to your character. It is not required but it is very helpful.

7.) Any posts containing pornography, excess gore, or examples of piracy will be deleted and are grounds for bans. Do NOT bring these into the forum.

8.) Personal issues should be left on the other side of the login screen. If you are having a bad day, you can't take it out on somebody else just because you are annoyed. Also, constant repetition of whining about a real life problem becomes tedious quickly, do not do so.

9.) Pestering staff about Approving something or checking a topic does not help. We get enough email as it is without having to deal with 20 from one person. A quick reminder in the chatbox is fine, anything besides that is aggravating beyond belief. We will get to everything when we can, we are not demigods... yet.

10.) Free advertising is banned, there is an entire forum with rules on how to properly make an advertisement.

Positions of Power:

1.) If you are a member of one of the the top 5 races (Captain, Espada, Elite Vizard, Quincy Council, and Superhuman Overseer), YOU NEED TO BE ACTIVE! I cannot stress this enough. There will be random activity checks and if you miss them, you are out of a spot.

2.) The #1 of each race will have extra insight into the plot. To compensate for this, the staff will be more likely to have decisions go the way of the #1 member of each race. This is to keep from having to explain to tons of people the intricacies of the plot and to make the #1 spot not as much of a problem. However, in exchange the #1 member of a race must be extremely active as they will one of the main movers of the plot.

3.) To become a member of the top 5 races, your character and weapon need to be approved AND a roleplay sample is needed. Check the Character Ranks forum for more details.

4.) The top members of each race will be more powerful then the other members. This is just the way it works and should not come as a surprise. The Sotaicho and Primera Espada are naturally going to be more powerful then most of the other members.

5.) The Captains and Espada automatically get a Bankai or a Resurrection. Everyone else has to train for one.

6.) Of the three allowed characters, TWO of them can be from the top 5 races. The remaining one can be from any of the other races. However, the two from the top 5 cannot be from the same race. You are not allowed to have 2 captains or two Espada. You can however have a Captain, an Espada, and a regular Shinigami.

RP Rules:

1.) While in the RP, you must make long posts. A paragraph at least is necessary whenever you post. This can include any actions, thoughts, or reactions. Try to be as in character as possible.

2.) Have your character act in accordance to their personality. A loner is not going to have a ton of friends, a battle maniac is not going to try to avoid battle.

3.) Be reasonable about all of the things you do in one post. Your character can't do 50 different things while others stand around doing nothing.

4.) You can only roleplay in one topic at a time UNLESS, you make a note of the beginning of the post that the topic is occurring in the past before the current main roleplay topic.

5.) You must post in third person point of view. ASTERICKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. I cannot stress this enough.

6.) All deaths are permanent unless they occur in the combat center. Any deaths need to be approved by the staff to make sure that godmoding was not involved and that it was a "legal" death. You cannot just say you "appeared out of nowhere and stabbed the arrancar in the skull killing him instantly."

7.) You cannot go through battles without injuries. No character can dodge forever or this would become the most boring Roleplay ever.

8.) You cannot control another character's actions or reactions unless they have been gone from the site for three days. This only extends to passive things such as bringing a person with you in a group. If you are being attacked and do not react for five days, the attack will hit for full damage.


THESE CAN BE CHANGED AND UPDATED AT ANY TIME! IF SO, IT SHALL BE ANNOUNCED BUT IT IS THE JOB OF EVERY MEMBER TO CHECK THESE EVERY SO OFTEN!
