A cold breeze would set the stage as the 4th division lay so quietly still. Most having retired for the night, and others making rounds. Within the barracks of the 4th Squad a being lay dormant in a almost lifeless slumber. His illness unexplainable, and his treatment unobtainable. So many treatments but still no luck. The 6th Squad Captain Kazuki Kadarame laying in a coma. His breathing so light one couldn't even hear as his chest silently heaved up then down.
"Ha. Ah!!!!!"
Threw a flame covered field two would do battle. One a long haired man with an 12 foot lance in hand while the other looking his exact opposite. Both dancing in a vibrant display of the Shinigami exclusive Shinpo. Either gaining any ground on the other. Then from no where an eruption occurred. Throwing a battle torn Kazuki darting over the ground. His lance still held in his left hand. From above another lance. The same shape, yet all red came darting for his stomach. The half defeated kazuki using his own weapon to deflect it back to it's owner. Who caught, and reset the blade. Taking a stance, and after flying back towards him.
Preforming a backflip while still in motion, Kazuki placed both feet on the ground. happy they were away from the flames. As his feet slid backwards, taking bits of earth with them, he would look up as his opposite chased him down. Still in a slide the Captain would rise his lance as his enemy would come down with a heavy chop. Causing both to disappear into a hole of broken rocks, and dust. From the other end Kazuki would once again shot into the air. A trail of blood behind him this time. A booming laugh rising from the crater.
Gaining ground in the air Kazuki would take his stance, and gather reishi. Blood dripping ever so freely from above his right eye. His face no cold, and blank. "Raika!!!" Twirling his zanpakuto kazuki would unleash several small tornado's of flames. Each one faster then the next. Below the opposite would narrow it's eyes. Just before impact grinning widely as it lefted it's hand.
BOOOMMMM!!!!!
kazuki's eyes widened in shock as he found himself falling to the sky. Rounin Ryuu in the hands of his impostor. His vision fading slowly as he locked eyes with his attacker. His smile leaving a lasting impression before everything went dark.
Suddenly from no where that slumber was broken.The Captain suddenly opening his eyes as everything turned dark. From the 4th squad an explosion decorated the sky in fire. The 4th squad burning to crumbles as a spiritual pressure washed over the area. Flames reaching out, and consuming all in it's path. From within the ruble a shadowy figure rose. His eyes glowing a bright red before it disappeared in a sea of flames.
A few squads up would reveal Head-Captain Zafaron Uriuc. Looking from his office at the fourth squad. Even from here he could feel the flames. It had been another work-filled night. Staying up later to finish everything set before him. A look of concern on his face. He could feel it. A similar reaitsu had erupted. yet clouded with rage, and a sense of bloodlust. The Head-Captain lowered his head in respect for a fallen captain. Kazuki Kadarame was no longer with them. In his right hand Havon was already drawn. His breathing slow, and focused as he turned around. Looking at the darkness of his office. The fire he had going having just died out. Without the slightest effort the Captain would narrow his eyes. A pair of bright red eyes glowing so brightly in the darkness. The head-captain would take a stance. Ready for whatever would come from the darkness. With a proud, and confident voice the Captain would speak.
"Come with it then...."
Directly before the Captain a shadow would appear. A Lance in hand as it connect with the blade of Havon. Quickly the head-Captain was forced outside. Wood breaking easily as the two fell to the ground below. On the way the Captain came to see his enemy. Two wings, both of flames, lean, and clawed to the tie. It's mask seemed to have fangs, and the display of flames on the left of it's face. Long greyish-black hair sway to violently as they fell. And a Zanpakuto. in the shape of a naginata yet with a red tassel. it was obviously Raikanbou Rounin Ryuu. So this would make this hollow Captain Kadarame. it would appear he had lost his battle. It was a same to lose such a Captain.
Gaining the up hand quickly the Captain would shift palaces with the hollow moments for they reached the ground. Using his legs to absorb the impact while also slamming the hollow down with as much force from his legs as possible. Creating a rippling crater destroying the 1st division training grounds. Using a quick shinpo the Captain would appear a few yrds from the crater. Havon having switch now to it's Lance form. Watching, and waiting the Captain waited. The dust from the impact having yet to subside.
Destruction
Without warning a sizzling erupted from the dust. In the form of a red beam the Cero would cross the distance between it,and the Captain in a matter of moments. Using havon the Captain quickly returned it to his original form. Using the Shield to block the attack. The force of the blast pushing the Captain back slowly. His feet bracing himself as he let the juice flow, and released a large amount of reishi. The result was a grand explosion.
From the dust the head Captain would rise. His Haori, and shirt for that matter blow to pieces. Smoke lifting from his body as he exhaled, and focused. He couldn't take this lightly. Nor could he allow this to continue. All around the Captain could see the destructive effects of this hollow. If not defeated it could destroy Soul Society itself. With havon now in it's longsword mode the head Captain would prepare himself. Knowing it was still near. And as expected the hollow came charging from the dust. Crossing the distance in two or three steps.
Coming with a downward slash aiming for the Captain's right shoulder to his left hip the hollow swung. Only to have the Captain side step to his right, and rotate his body. Watching the lance clearly miss. Then with a counter the head Captain came with two forward chops. Trying to deal quick damage before dropping back, and coming around for another volley. His attack would get blocked by the staff of the lance, and counter with the end, and blade. Both being used to deflect the blows.
For sometime the two exchanged blows. most missing while some dealing serious damage. With a heavy roar the head Captain dealt a heavy blow with the Mace mode. Sending the hollow sliding back. Taking a good deal of it's right shoulder with it. Breathing slightly heavier the head-Captain narrowed his eyes at the creature. it wasn't going to stop. it would take something more then brute force to defeat it. So the Captain would use his knowlegde to beat this foe.
Taking a stance with the lance the Head Captain readied himself. The hollow always attack first as normal. This time with a side swipe followed by the swing of one of it's wings. The Captain dodged the first blow with a simply duck, and before the wing could hit he jumped back. being thrown through the air a few yrds back but no damage. He hadn't forgotten that this was also Kazuki, and maybe it could use his abilities as well.
Powering up with an immense amount of reishi the head-Captain took his lance stance once again. This time attack himself. The hollow only watched before swing it's lance downard. releasing a grounded wave of flames at the head-Captain jumped to the side. Rolling, and crossing the rest of the distance with sheer unrivaled speed. Jabbing the lance forward the Captain began a devestating combo. Smacking, and cutting the hollow from every side as he continued to dodge it's attempts to cut him down. But as he turned his back, and came around for a spinning roundhouse the hollow would catch his leg. Slamming the Captain into the ground before it before using a hollowified fist to punch him down further. Causing a great deal of smoke to arise.
Standing over the defeated head-Captain the Hollow began to roar, and released spiritual pressure in burst. Claiming it's victory. But as it celebrated it didn't notice the grin across his supposely dead enemy's face. Stabbing straight up with the lance the head-Captain connected with the hollows chest. Running the blade downward, and then releasing a huge amount of reishi as he quickly switched to the mace, and used it like a baseball bat. Batting the hollow straight into the 2nd disivion. A trail of destruction, and smoke following behind.
Beginning his walk towards his kill the Captain looked down at the abandoned Rounin Ryuu. The Lance slowly disappearing into dust as the Captain continued forward. Now stand over his enemy the Captain looked down in sorrow. giving his respect for the fallen Captain as a single drop of blood fell from his battered body. Landing on the now hman Kazuki's face.
"Captain. I thank you for your service."
Turning to leave the Head-Captain returned havon to it's sheild form. Walking with it held in hand. His shirtless body covered in both his, and Kazuki's blood. Even a cut lay across his back. not large but enough. this had been quite the battle. Leaving half the division's in pieces. He didn't notice when the body of his kill suddenly disappeared. On seeing a flash of light before looking at the sky. Confused yet understanding. It would take some time to rebuild. Luckliy he was there to stop it. He wasn't sure any could have defeated it without losing there own life. But he did, and he knew why. because if as he fought Kazuki was fighting as well.
