| Name: Virgil Crowley
Age: 26
Years Since Gaining Superhuman Powers: 13
Gender: Male
Current Location: Hong Kong, China
Occupation: Bassist, record store owner
Rank: Overseer
Appearance: Virgil is a tall, dour looking fellow. He stands in at 6'3, and looks to weigh about 220 lbs., with a muscular build. He has silver, unkempt hair, on top of which he wears a black bandana. His eyes are a bright shade of green. Other than this, he has a scar on his right arm and back, both of which look like they were caused by a knife wound. His skin is very, very pale, almost to the point where it would appear he doesn't go out.
For his attire, Virgil tends to wear a black leather vest, jeans, and sneakers. He wears black, fingerless gloves, and a gold chain around his neck, with a cross.
Personality: Virgil isn't exactly a people person, or a "reflection" person either. When it comes to contact with the outside world, Virgil almost never talks, unless it's with a person he feels that he can trust and open up to. If it's a complete stranger, he may utter a small "hello" or something of that nature. He almost never starts a conversation, and is more a dreamer or thinker than a talker.
When it comes to thoughts about himself... Virgil's a little suicidal. His father's impression on him is that he's pratically worthless, and attempted to kill himself while drunk twice. If he so much as looks into a mirror, five seconds later it'll end up broken. He doesn't like himself, or the way he looks. All that matters to him is that he has some money, some alcohol, and his bass. Oh, and maybe supporting his dear mother every once and a while.
Fighting Style: On the field of battle, Virgil is very brutal, and almost thorws all caution to the wind. He tends to use his fists and legs in a series of powerful attacks, and makes sure he keeps up his defense as well. If there's one thing Virgil hates, it's losing, and he'll fight with a broken arm if he has to. He will stop at nothing to try and bring his opponent down, and treats every fight like it was his last. He also tends to fight his opponents head on, and prefers not to use deception.
Background: While Virgil was brought up in the good ol' USA, his father, around the time of his fifth birthday, was offered a job overseas in China. Without even a second thought, Virgil's father immediatly took the offer, and before he knew it, the whole family was on a plane to China. Once they landed, the Crowley family went straight to what Virgil would know as his "own personal hell." You see, a couple of weeks after Virgil's father took the job, he became engrossed in it- working overtime for bigger paychecks. But after a couple of weeks, and still working overtime, these paychecks would come and go like the man of the house. Virgil's mother and older sister did some digging, and found out their father/husband had been spending his money on another woman.
Virgil's mother and sister had pakced up and left at this point, leaving a small, vunerable child in the care of a very infuriated man. Needless to say, Virgil wasn't going to be happy for the next couple of years, despite him trying a myriad of times to run away, and failing. His dad, while he was at work most of the time, would spend his time as home beating the hell out of his child, who would lock himself in his room and strum on his bass, and listen to various music to ease the emotional and physical pain. It would work from time to time, but after he turned 13, he fought his father before running away one last time. His powers finally awaked, and he knocked his father through a wall, and beat him senseless. He packed up his things, called an ambulance, and escaped through his bedroom window, to start a new life for himself in the city.
After he'd beaten up his own father and ran away, he started off by taking a cardboard box, sitting on a busy street corner, and playing songs on a bass. Some people would drop in yen, some people would drop in America money because of his appearance. Only a few brave souls ever tried to steal the money inside the box; None of these men got away, and were often beaten to the point where not even the police could identify the victim. This often meant that Virgil had to pack up and move to another street corner before anyone would catch on to him, but he wasn't afraid of death- He was just afraid he'd wind up in a prison somewhere, and he'd have to use his powers to break out.
Virgil caught his first break after his escape after a guitarist offered him a spot in an up and coming metal band, Hellbound. The band started out small, playing in clubs, until their manager booked them their first stadium event. Virgil spent hours before the concert preparing himself mentally, trying to shrug off the pressure. Once he got on stage, he was perfectly fine. It was only after the concert did he learn that he was being kicked out of the band in place of the manager's nephew. He couldn't hold a candle to Virgil's skill, but their manager had promised them fame and fortune overseas, so they jumped on the idea. While Virgil felt rejected and alone, he did steal a large portion of the concert's profits, and opened up his store: HellBent for Good Music!
After opening up the shop, Virgil refused to stock any Hellbound CDs, and caught a lot of crap for it. After careful consideration, he decided to stock them, and was sold out the first day. After deciding the listen to one, he read over the lyrics in the booklet, and found all of the songs were given credit to... him. He also found a letter in the back of EVERY booklet apologizing for the whole ordeal, which left him with tears in his eyes. From that point on, he learned not to look back in anger... Well, with the exception of the events that were caused by his father.
After opening his record shop, and finally settling down, Virgil met and joined the other Superhumans at the age of 24. He is only a regular among their ranks as of now. He doesn't seem to show any ambition of climbing these ranks either, and seems fine right where he is. He has shown a tendency to take on tough mission to better himself and get a thrill out of it, but that's about all he's shown.

| It's a nice story, you know for sure how to write good ones!
Well, I would approve this but I checked it once again and noticed that you haven't written the part when you joined the Superhumans.
You write it, I approve it.

| Terribly sorry about that, was thinking more of the overall story than the actual joining the Superhumans. It's been edited it. | |
