The Assault

"Ah shit. Thought that would crush you." Yukus grumbled. The damn human just refused to stay down. And then suddenly the human started shooting a ton of bullets directly at the menos. Just like the human wasn't letting his own attacks, Yukus wasn't going to just sit around and get torn to shreds. He quickly punched the ground with his fist, completely shattering the ground he was standing on. As he fell through the roof of his building, his left hand got caught on part of the roof. It took a few bullets before he could unhook it from the stone.

"Pain. Lots of pain. Dick move human, dick move." Yukus muttered to himself cradling his bleeding hand. Realizing that there was a good chance the human would try to fire through the thin wall of the building, Yukus tore up some pieces of the current floor he was on to make a barrier. Meanwhile he started to charge his energy again. Two branded ceros weren't effective so the easiest thing to do was just make more.

The captain seemed to be in thoughts. I wonder when will he remove the limiter. But the question here is, did he request it already or…oh well, who cares anyway. The sooner he releases the better. The advantage that he had was that he did not have a limiter to begin with. He just didn’t feel like going all out, so he only did half of what he was capable off. The captain didn’t give him enough reason to even draw his sword. But he still didn’t want to be the first one to draw, so he needed to force the captain to get his sword out of the sheath, and then next would be the Shikai.

The captain started talking again, asking him who he was. Takeshi only chuckled in response “Oh what does it matter who I am? Even if you know my name, I highly doubt it will ring a bell. And besides, why do you care? I, for one, don’t give a damn what your name is. I know you’re a captain of the second division, but that’s given away by the uniform. You, in turn, know that I’m a Shinigami of some sort, which was given away by my Zanpakutou. But enough talking.” Takeshi dashed at the captain. It wasn’t a shunpou, but for a regular, non-shunpou movement, it was very fast. The distance was closing rapidly. It was now about ten yards. Now come on, you bastard. Four yards. Draw! With this thought in mind, and a grinning face, which now showed a bit of insanity, Takeshi once again was in front of the captain and made a very powerful punch, aiming for the middle of the chest.

Jesus. Is there a shinigami convention going on? What's with these guys popping out of nowhere?! Levi looked at Kurokotsu. "Well, you could have helped." Levi looked at the building where the hollow had disappeared to. This one's a really crafty fellow. He's probably making more of those cero trap things. He fell through the ceiling, so he's on the top floor... With that, Levi hunkered down, and his cannons fired many more energy rounds, ripping through cement and steel alike.

Was this guy really serious? Ranryou simply sighed heavily as his opponent tried to run at him without a shinpo. Making him slower then before. Though he fast his speed movements where easy to follow. However what the Captain was worried about was the com-link in his ear. A female voice came on strong. "Captain. Limiter Removal is a Good."

Smiling slightly Ranryou looked at his enemy. His opponent now ten yards. The smirk on his face fading as he spoke. "Gentei Kaijo. Release." Just as his opponent throw his punch. That punch instantly hitting his open palm. The Captain now having a tight grip on his closed fist. His left hand holding firmly as the wind blew softly across his face. Blowing the hair away from his covered right eye. Wher the symbol of the 2nd squad slowly faded away. Drawing his sword the Captain would eye his opponent with a cold glare. Then bringing his sword down to cut the man from his right shoulder down to the middle of his stomach.

"Sorry, I thought you had it covered. Maybe I overestimated you. Shall I help you out a bit? I could help slaughter this Hollow, or just get you a new hat. Whatever you choose, it's solely up to you." Kurokotsu said with a laugh, flipping his Zanpakuto into the air and then catching it again, repeatedly doing so as if to show his current boredom.

The captain caught Takeshi’s fist no problem. An expression of surprise was across his face now, as he could not get his hand out. An everyday person would start panicking or being at least somewhat uneasy in this situation. Instead, Takeshi’s eyes lit up with fire. He knew what this meant. “Finally!” All the arrogance from before was gone and replaced by the look of mischief and insanity. He almost forgot that the captain pulled out a sword. Right, time for some fun.

As the blade was swung, Takeshi caught the captain’s hand with his left just as it was about to make contact. The reason for this sudden ability was that he almost instantly raised his reiatsu to be something in between the captain and the lieutenant level, more balanced towards the captain level. It was rather difficult, and he did have to focus most of the strength on that, but he still managed to stop it. “That’s what I’m talking about. Plus I finally made you draw your blade.” With an effort, he pulled his fist out of a clenched hand, let go the sword hand and moved back somewhat. Now, some of the arrogance returned to that grinning face of his, but most of it was still insanity. “Now let’s see how long it will take for you to do the same with me.”

The sword was stopped. His enemy having used a lot of reaitsu to near Captain level. Meaning he was holding back still. However, the Captain was as well. With his sword in his right hand the Captain slightly narrowed his eyes at his enemy. His arrogance so irritating it was making him sick. So. he would kill this man, and teach him a lesson of respect. "You should really stop acting to high, and mighty. It only makes you look weaker." With an impressive Shinpo. Faster then anything used so far to the point that several more followed the same trail. Roga appeared behind his opponent. his sword already in it's swing. Aimed to leave a slight flesh wound on his back. "And weaklings have no place of the battle field." However, Takeshi could have a hard time dodging this attack. As only a fraction of a second had passed sense the captain focused in on his enemy. His Shinpo creating no sound. Time seeming to have stalled in awe at the speed of the 2nd squad Captain.

It all happened in a split-second. At first the captain was talking to him, and then next Takeshi felt a cut on his back. It wasn’t too deep but it certainly was noticeable. This certainly did surprise him. “Wow, you got me there. Even though I expected something like this, it was still sudden.” But in the next split-second he raised his reiatsu to just below captain level and his leg was in full swing right next to the captain’s head. It wasn’t even too clear, it was moving so fast.

Watching is enemies movements the Captain of the 2nd squad simply flipped his sword into the under handed position, and used the dull side to block the kick. Looking at his opponent the Captain now had a more relaxed tone. Focused, and centered. Simple moves like this were unless against the Captain now. Not with his eyes able to see every movements.

A second after blocking the kick the 2nd squad Captain would drop down, and spring up with a half flash kick. Trying to send his opponent sky bound. His reiatsu stopping at a Mid-level Captain's. This wasn't a game anymore. unless his opponent came with it Ranryou would walk away with his life as his own.

So the captain wasn’t kidding. After blocking, he sent Takeshi flying through the air. Now that’s definitely what I wanted to see. Took him long enough, but the wait was worth it. The kick was powerful, but Takeshi could handle it. He still wasn’t “motivated” enough to draw his sword, so he still wanted to go hand to hand. Stopping in the air for a moment, he propelled himself down onto the captain, and made an elbow drop, falling at a very high speed. It wasn’t clear, but on his face there was still a grin of insanity and mischievous joy.

Jumping back the Captain watched his opponent try another hand to hand combo. Guess he didn't get the idea the first time. With the elbow drop dodged the Captain would watch his opponent stand to his feet. That same arrogance plastered on his face. Taking a shallow step to his right Ranryou returned his sword to it's upright position. Eyeing his enemy from 30 feet away. "You know that's not going to work don't you. If you don't get serious your going to die."

Only seeming to laugh his opponent took a few steps forward before disappearing with an impressive flash step. Almost as fast as Roga's last. From his right his enemy came. Coming around with a heavy leg. Using the back of his blade the Captain attempted to block the kick. Yet just before impact his enemy used another flah step to appear behind him. Throwing a mean sucker punch.

Turning around Captain Roga dipped under the blow. Coming up with a uppercut. Trying to send him airborne. But to his disbelief his enemy used another flash step. This time the Captain followed.

In the air both appeared for a brief second. Roga swinging his sword as his enemy narrowly dodged, and tried his own counters. The two using a series of flash steps to turn this battle into a speed fight. back on the ground his enemy used an impressive twist, and roll to gain a lock on the Captain's mid-section. Yet Captain Roga countered with his own twist. Using his free left hand the Captain shifted his body weight into a spin. Swinging around, and clashing blows with his opponent. both legs stalling mid air as both quickly recovered from the backlash. His enemy being the first to strike.

Sliding to a fault his enemy geared up, and crossed the distance with a flash step. Once again trying to use hand to hand. However, after using a flash step to appear right before the Captain his enemy would find no one. Then from directly below the Captain would preform the half flash kick. This time going all the way with it. Getting full contact with the enemy. Sending him airborne. Then from the air Roga would stand. A look of victory on his face. Standing in the path of his enemies flight. Rising his sword itno the air the 2nd squad Captain came down with a simple slash. Blockable yet his enemy didn't wanna draw his sword. he had no choose. Draw or die.

"Well now. A Captain, and an Unknown. Could it be?" Standing atop a tower a long grayish-silver haired man would stand with his right leg bracing is body against the metal contraption. resting on his right shoulder was a katana. A red handle, and a weird shaped guard. It lay in the shape of a erupting volcano. The blade erupting from within the volcano outward. It had it's own reiatsu as well. However this man stood with no emotion to his frame. Simple looking down at Karakura Town. A slightly hint of boredom across his face. Easily noticeable when looking at him.

Other then his abnormality spiked grayish-silver spiked head his man would easily be mistaken for a Soul reaper. On his hip was a sash. Where he would rest his zanpakuto, and on his forehead an item from the sunglasses store in Soul Society. It was a gray Vizard of some kind. His uniform looking like that of the 9th squad. Sleeveless. Stepping up the man would sigh before taking a step from the tower. Falling instantly as the wind whipped around his body, and blade. All before coming to a sudden stop but a few inch's from the ground.

Stepping from the air the man would start walking on the ground floor. Slowly making his way past the cowardice people of the streets. Each one not even seeing the man as he continued to make his way towards the uprising. On the way noticing a few hollows. narrowing his eyes before jumping into the air to follow. Appearing before them causing both to stop.

After a very fun set of slash, twist, punch kick and counter sequences, the captain finally tossed Takeshi into the air and from there he made a sword swing. The speed Takeshi was going with made it impossible to dodge. He also could not make any sort of counter. The blade was aiming at his waist, and the captain had a victorious expression. Takeshi answered that with a small glimpse of a smile.

A metallic clash was heard. Takeshi stopped in the air just as the captain’s blow landed. With his left hand, Takeshi had his Zanpakutou pulled out of the sheath two thirds of a way. The blade was stopping the captain’s sword. Takeshi then backed off. Now both combatants were in the air. Takeshi’s face was arrogant, but not as much. The look he gave the captain had respect in it. Good to see that the standards didn’t change in the Gotei 13. “I have to say, you do impress me captain-san. Now I’m finally motivated.” Takeshi pulled the sword out completely, holding it in his left, with the blade opposite his thumb. With a fast shunpou, comparable to that of the captain, he appeared in front of his opponent, making a downward swing.

"Finally" Captain Roga smiled. Now things could get interesting. Preparing himself the Captain wasn't in the least bit worried when his opponent used Shunpo to appear in front of him. Effortlessly lifting his sword the Captain block his opponents strike. Causing the two to enter a bladelock. With his face but a few feet form his opponents Ranryou didn't have to speak loudly. "I see your using that sword now. Glad your motivated." Jumping back, and releasing the lock Ranryou quickly recovered, and began a series of diagonal, and vertical swings. Left, right, left to right, right to left, trying to dodge if needed while continuing to stay on the offensive.

Takeshi only chuckled at the captain’s words. The blade lock was released and the captain went on the offensive. He attacked with basic sword swing, but even the basics can be dangerous. With not too much effort, but still being careful, Takeshi dodged a few strikes, redirected some more until the very last one, which was a slash coming from his left. Not only did he block it, but with an upper swing he made the blade be higher then his head. He then caught it by the blunt edge and the flat sides, with his right arm. Time for a switch.

He held the sword, blade downward, sharp edge forward, in front of him, slightly to the right. Then, probably confusing the captain, he let it go. For a split second it hung in the air, but then the gravity started pulling it down. But a split second after it started moving, Takeshi made another unpredictable action. First he pushed the captain’s sword out of the way, and almost at the same time, he kicked the tip of his sword so that it would start spinning and so that the captain’s head would be within its radius. Naturally, the captain moved out of the way. At the same time Takeshi caught the sword with his right hand, made a circle motion to give it even more speed, and made a diagonal upper slash to the left. When the captain dodged by moving back, Takeshi made a spin, spun the sword above his head to maintain the speed, and made diagonal, descending slash, which again was dodged. He followed that by another full circle motion and a vertical strike aiming at the head.

The Captain simply start smirking. This was how a fight should be. It was about time he had the chance to fight a good fight. However, with his opponents unpredictable, yet counter able attacks the Captain knew for sure this battle was far from easy.

As it would seem his opponent was quite skilled. Successfully dodging the Captain's attakcs, and countering with his own. Nevertheless, the 2nd squad Captain stayed on his toes. Dodging, and mvoing as needed. Still fighting with his mind. However as he dropped his sword the Captain was ready for whatever could happen next. Even when he kicked it back up the Captain's didn't do a thing but simply move out of the way. A few swings lat the Captain was faced with a vertical swing. Narrowing his eyes moments before it's impact.

Open air

Swining through open air the 2nd squad Captain now had his hand on Takeshi's shoulder. Lifting himself into the air, and swinging his leg around. Trying to send the man back to the ground. A clear thin cut on his cheek. clearly vertical, and slightly bleeding. he hadn't dodged that attack fully, but it didn't mean he couldn't counter.

The kick landed on a blocking arm and Takeshi was sent flying down. A small crater formed and a large dust cloud was made. As it faded, Takeshi was standing in the middle of the crater. “Damn, this is fun as hell!” He stuck his Zanpakutou in the ground. Then he just made several stretches, cracked his neck, fingers, shoulders, elbows, knees and back. “I haven’t had this much fun in a very long time. Now then, captain-san.” He grabbed his sword the same way as he did earlier, thumb opposite the blade, then rocketed towards the captain at insane speed and made a powerful swing. "LETS ROCK!" His face had no arrogance at all in it, just insane joy.

Yukus smiled as he heard the sound of steel and concrete getting ripped to shreds. His barrier was holding for a little bit and that was all he needed to get away. He smashed through the current floor he was on, and then two more until he landed on the ground floor. He could still hear the sound of the human firing at the other floor. But he knew that the ruse wouldn't last for much longer once the human completely destroyed his barricade.

Suddenly an idea struck him. He jumped up two of the floor and pulled up a regular piece of concrete. From that floor he threw it out at the human before jumping down to the ground floor again. It was just a regular piece of concrete but the human with a regular humans vision, would probably not be able to tell if it could also shoot out ceros like the other ones. Hopefully he would then try targetting the floor that Yukus had thrown the concrete from, instead of the bottom floor where he was actually preparing.

Standing on the ground he punched the ground next to him him twice. He needed to gather a little more energy before he could brand it a third time, but his distraction should give that to him.

Levi saw the cement block thrown from the third floor of the building at him. Not another one of his traps. Levi immediately shot the cement block into hundreds of pieces. What the? So it wasn't booby-trapped? This guy's really tricky. Levi focused his attention on the third floor, spraying his blasts. across the entire floor. However, he knew that he couldn't see where the hollow actually was in the building; he thus used his eyes to scan the rest of the building for the slightest presence of the hollow.

The human would get to see the Hollow's presence all right. When a giant cero came flying at him. Yukus concentrated his energy and branded the concrete one more time. It was extremely rare for him to triple brand anything, but he felt like the situation warranted it. That human would tear him to shreds if he got in his way. And the humans soul would be delicious for sure.

He picked up the concrete and aimed at where the human was. If he was lucky, he might also be able to blast the shinigami as well. The blast would be large enough.

He clenched his fist and the cero fired. Three times larger then his already huge ceros, it barreled right towards the human destroying everything in its path. The chances that the human could avoid it were almost non-existent.

Levi couldn't evade it. He knew that as soon as the cement block exploded into a huge beam of energy, and enveloped him. The entire block was blown away.

As the dust cleared, Levi slowly got up from his knees, gasping for breath, his body covered in open wounds. Jesus, this hollow's the most powerful one I've fought. Guess I have to use my ultimate. But that'll take a bit. He turned to Kurokotsu. "Listen, I need some time to prepare my most powerful technique. I'd appreciate it if you could distract that hollow long enough for it." Levi narrowed his eyes. "This is MY fight. It has been ever since he burned my hat to pieces. So, will you do it?"

Kurokotsu nodded slowly, his haori covered with dust and burn marks from the attack, but otherwise largely unharmed as he had solidified his reiatsu into a shield to block most of the attack that came at him, what little wasn't aimed directly at Levi. "Very well, if it's a distraction you want, it's a distraction you'll get." He said quietly, bringing his Zanpakuto across the ground in a low arc. "Unfurl your wings, heavenly body. Twist their ambitions, demonic host. Hekikaisou!" Kurokotsu called out, brandishing his released Zanpakuto. "Just a question, could you demonstrate that bullet technique once more? If you do, I can copy it for a short while and use it to keep the Hollow distracted."

Levi was more than willing to oblige. Even though he still had loads of energy left, he had suffered a lot of damage from that cero attack. He shot a burst of his gunslinger technique, then looked with dismay as his cannons stopped rotating. Well, that technique's done.

"Was that enough?" Levi asked the captain. "Good luck." With that, Levi began to focus his energy, preparing his ultimate technique to send the hollow to the afterlife once and for all.

"That was fine, dear. Now, let me show you how I operate. Hado thirty-one, Shakkaho!" Kurokotsu called out, conjuring the orb of flames and setting it about three feet in front of him. Then, he jumped back and swung his Zanpakuto so the very tip of it touched the orb, right at the apex of its swing. As the Shakkaho vanished, little orbs of fiery spiritual energy shot out, firing straight at the third floor of the building. "And that, strange human, is how my Zanpakuto works. I can copy a technique I see and use it myself, once I've put my own spin on things." He said with a chuckle, watching the makeshift bullets explode once they hit the building.

Smiling slightly the 2nd Squad Captain only smiled before his shoulders dropped. His chest lowering, and his eyes half closing. Narrowing, and focusing on his opponent. His zanpakuto also slowly dropped till he was holding it loosely from his hand. His spiritual pressure seeming to compress, and contract. Sharping, and thinning. The wind bellowed in silence as Ranryou took a deep breathe. Exhaling in a shallow burst of air. "Let's begin..."

Displaying the same speed as his opponent Ranryou rockets from the air with his zanpakuto in the underhanded position. At both meet up mid-air the sound of metal clinging could be easily heard. The 2nd squad Captain watching at sparks popped from the forced trying to force the other into submission. As both swords slid by one another the Captain would once again find himself in open air. Traveling down a few more yards before solidifying a bit of reishi on his feet. Using it to double back, and try to come with another strike. The same as the previous.
