Name: Hekikaisou (False Reflection)
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance: A four foot tall mirror kept upright by a pair of long wings sprouting out of the top of it, wings which start as silver angel wings and morph into those of the devil, leathery and smooth at the bottom. That is just the prison of the true spirit, though. The actual spirit is the angelic face trying to push its way out of the mirror, only having gotten the first half of its head out before it became stuck.
Release Phrase: Unfurl your wings, heavenly body. Twist their ambitions, demonic host.
Family: Mirror
Level: Bankai
Sealed Zanpakuto: Sealed, Hekikaisou takes the form of a wakizashi, the guard being a long, thin diamond shape that would line up with the blade, if the blade were about four times as wide.
Shikai: As Kurokotsu calls out the release command, Hekikaisou lengthens and grows out, changing shape into a long broadsword. After it finishes growing, it coats itself in a thin, reflective shell that resembles a large mirror.
Shikai Ability: By seeing a technique Kurokotsu can understand the reishi formulas behind it, and thus learn that technique for a short period of time. Typically, he can use the copied technique once or twice. Since he is using the technique as his own, he can make it stronger or weaker than the original by controlling how much of his energy he puts into it. Also, this gives him a greater range of freedom in using the techniques, and so he can twist them around a bit by fusing them with kido.
Bankai: Hekikaisou unfolds once more, changing its shape into that of a black crystaline shield the size of Kurokotsu himself. Fragments of the shield, once broken off, lose all color, looking like broken fragments of a normal mirror. One can see their reflection in the pieces, but to do so normally means there are a large amount, large enough for Kurokotsu to use in a grand technique.
Bankai Release Phrase: Bankai, Fuhen Hekikaisou. (Everlasting False Reflection)
Bankai Ability: Passively, the Bankai form of Hekikaisou enhances the effect seen in Shikai, that is to say the copying of techniques is closer to being perfected in this form. Kurokotsu can use those copied techniques as many times as he wants, as long as he remains in Bankai. Also, he slightly changes the charge time, duration, and cooldown on those moves. He requires one turn less to charge up, has one more turn of duration, and also has two turns longer on cooldown time.
Hekikaisou can block against most attacks like a normal shield could. Its true power comes from the ability to break off pieces of it and use those fragments as weapons. The pieces can be controlled individually or as a whole, increasing Kurokotsu's attacking options. These fragments of Fuhen Hekikaisou channel Kurokotsu's reishi, so as to keep a little bit in each one. Due to the nature of this, it becomes harder for Kurokotsu to keep focus as he releases more pieces. The more fragments he has out, and the longer he maintains them, the more of a drain is placed on him.
Techniques:
1: Reflected Destruction: Kurokotsu can reuse pieces of his Bankai that have been broken off, attaching them with his reiatsu. He can either bind them tightly together for a solid object or separate them so as to give them added length or malleability. The more broken pieces of Bankai, the more elaborate weapons Kurokotsu can form.(Four turn duration, two turn cooldown) Bankai-only
2: Eternal Resonance: Kurokotsu can, once per fight, summon his Zanpakuto spirit between himself and a technique. By doing so, the spirit's arms slowly reach out of the silvered mirror, grasping the technique and learning how it is performed. By doing so, it then creates a perfect copy of it deep inside the mirror which negates the attack entirely. After the technique is neutralized, the mirror shatters and leaves Kurokotsu unharmed. Despite Hekikaisou learning that move, Kurokotsu can not use this perfect clone again, nor does that use count toward Kurokotsu's ability to learn it himself.(Fight-long cooldown) (Eight turns before technique stopped by this can be re-used, cooldown begins once this time ends.)Bankai-only
3: Forbidden Assault: By completely breaking his Bankai, Kurokotsu can make the pieces float and act as individual weapons. Usually, he does this by focusing reiatsu into each of them and doing such things as firing bursts of condensed reiatsu or making chains to restrict the enemy with a large amount. However, this is a last-ditch technique, and by using it Kurokotsu reverts back to Shikai form. ( Four turn duration, Fight-long cooldown) Bankai-only
