Name: Koukyo (Demise)
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance: Koukyo’s spirit is a large steel hand, made up entirely of tiny mirror-like orbs. In the middle of the palm of this great hand is a hole, from which insults and curses spew forth when awoken. At the wrist, where an arm would be, is instead a dark gray hole in the ground that travels with the rest of the Spirit.
Release Phrase: Attract, Koukyo
Family: Magnetism
Level: Shikai
Sealed Zanpakuto: While sealed, Koukyo takes on the form of a standard katana, scratches covering the black wraps around the handle, and tiny square holes present all throughout the guard. Koukyo has no sheath to reside in, so it is typically kept attached to Inubara’s waist by a small strip of magnetic steel tied at his side.
Shikai: When Koukyo is released, its blade seemingly folds in on itself, changing shape into a two foot long mace. From here, Inubara smashes it against any surface he can find, thus truly releasing it. As a dull ringing sound spreads throughout the area, Koukyo shoots apart, splitting into fifty rods of steel.
Shikai Ability: By focusing on a piece of the released Koukyo, Inubara can assign it a magnetic charge. By doing so, he changes his techniques. If he changes two bars to have opposite charges, one inside the enemy and the other in his hand, he can throw the second one with a much higher degree of accuracy. By then giving the two nearby rods the same charge, he can make them burst apart violently and harm anybody they were attached to.
Techniques:
1: Magnetic Shield: By arranging ten pieces of his Shikai in front of himself and giving them alternating charges, Inubara can form a very powerful shield, able to block most weaker techniques and some of medium strength. (One turn duration, three turn cooldown.)
2: Lance of Eternity: First, Inubara forms a long pole out of three slices of his Shikai. Then, clumping together twenty fragments of his Shikai, Inubara attaches the two contraptions. By swinging it like one would a massive axe, he sends them flying at his opponent with the aid of any charged pieces embedded into his target. As they pierce through the enemies’ body, Inubara snaps his fingers and they all gain the same charge. By doing so, they shoot apart, as if desperate to escape from anything like themselves. This would rip the targets’ body apart if they were weak, or just REALLY hurt them if they were strong. (One turn set-up, eight turn cooldown.)
3: Circle of Silence: Inubara throws down a circle of his Shikai around himself, and then tricks the enemy into stepping inside it. Once they do, Inubara can give them all magnetic charges, causing them to stack on top of each other into ten poles. With a slight flick of his wrist, they all collapse onto his enemy, causing them to lock together and completely immobilize movement. (One turn set-up time, two turn duration time on stun, infinite duration on the circle remaining there, untriggered, six turn cooldown.)
