The Return to the Real World

A rasping cough broke the silence that had fallen upon in Seiretei. Sitting on an nearby bench, Stauracius patiently awaited for the rest of the captains to show up. He came early to the meeting place, eager for the mission to be set in motion. He was well-prepared; during the short time given to him till the mission starts, he managed to learn most of the cloak's instructions that deemed them necessary.

In addition, he practiced for the upcoming talk between the Captains and the Vizards, constantly noting in little papers his speech in points where it could seem offensive or furious. In the end, he achieved in making a speech that would seem passive but indirectly and unconsciously would promoted his alignment. He hoped that the rest of the captains were prepared as well.


Ηis face beared a hint of concern and worry. Thoughts of failure filled his mind, failure on his part than the others. Intentionally he tried to focus on winning but the doubts and worries were too great of being eradicated from his thoughts. Finally he sat on the floor cross-legged and meditated.

"So, I take it you've done all your preparations already, Diogenes?" Kurokotsu asked, the sound of a switch being flipped as he materialized next to the other Captain. "You don't want too sound too prepared, or they'll likely try to throw you off. We're there on business, but we should at least seem relatively candid. If we, and by we I mean you since I never prepare, drop the speeches we could make it easier for them to understand we mean no harm," he said as he started to get up from the bench, ready to depart.

He didn't know if he was either asleep or awake. So effective and deep was his meditation that he didn't hear Kurokotsu's words except the last ones "we mean no harm". He flinched from surprise as he didn't feel the captain's reiatsu. He uttered a sigh of relief as he saw the captain standing up before him "I didn't notice your remarkable presence until now, Captain Kurokotsu, perhaps that's due to the cloak you created." he exclaimed with surprise.

"Anyway we should take our leave, I am eager to see what surprises fate holds for us" he said and headed toward the closed gate. The gate slowly opened, revealing what lied behind it; a white void. He stopped moving and turned his gaze at him "After you, Captain" he said and bowed his head before Kurokotsu.

Sighing and shrugging, Kurokotsu noticed how little of his talking had actually been heard. Had Stauracius heard it all, he'd most certainly have commented on it. "Very well, then..." He said with another sigh as he let a Hell Butterfly land on his finger and walked into the portal with that finger pointed straight out.

He looked behind for a brief moment, thoughts filling his mind once again, this time thoughts that reflected more of his self-confidence. He turned his gaze again at Kurokotsu and run behind him, following him closely through the Senkaimon. "Let's pray that the mission will be completed without any obstacles and problems. But more importantly, let's hope that we will succeed" he muttered to himself, enough loudly to be heard by Kurokotsu.
