Point Shop Rules

This forum does operate with the point system. The more points you get the more things you can do with your character.

Ways to gain points.

1. Post in the RP sections: Soul Society, Hueco Mundo, and the Real World all award you points. Three points are awarded for each topic started and a point is awarded for each post. This is the quickest way to gain points.

2. Post in the Practice Fights Section: The practice fight area does not have a specific number of points given per post. Instead, after a practice fight is finished, one of the admins can choose to award a certain number of points to the participants. It may be a small number of points or a large number depending on the level of action, writing, and length of the fight. It is also not assured that any points will be given, or that each member participating will receive the same number of points. Everything is up to the admins discretion.

3. Miscellaneous tasks: Every so often, the admins/moderators may have a task that can be completed. For those that do so, extra points will be given as a reward.

Ways to spend points.

1. Using them in one of the five forum areas: Each of the five point shop sub-forums have their own specific criteria on how to gain special abilities or increased powers using points. Check those for more details.

2. Gaining new techniques: Upon creation, each user can only have three techniques. However, 100 points can be spent to gain a new technique. These have to be approved by an admin or mod before the technique can be bought.

3. Changing pre-existing techniques: In case someone has a large number of points but can't think of a new technique, they can make their other technique more powerful. 100 points can be spent to increase the duration of an attack or decrease the cooldown by one post length. Charge times can also be decreased by a post length but this requires 200 points to be spent.

Other technique specific changes (such as increase in area of effect or number of projectiles) can also be bought. The specific number of points necessary varies depending on how much stronger this would make an attack.

Special Rules

1. Each person is allowed one topic in the Point Shop main forum. I do not want to see a topic every time you wish to gain a technique or change something. Keep them all in one topic, they aren't going anywhere.

2. Each profiles' points stay with that one profile. If you have three accounts, you cannot take your points from one account and send them to another. The reason for the points in the first place is to show that as time in the RP passes, the characters get stronger. If you make a brand new character, you can't give it a bunch of techniques from the get-go using your other characters points or that would defeat the purpose.

3. If your character is killed and you make a new one on the same user account, YOUR POINTS WILL RESET. There may be some situations where this is overruled due to special circumstances. However, do not badger the admins and mods to see if your character is in this group, you will be informed if you are in that group whether or not you ask.

REMEMBER! THE ADMINS NEED TO GIVE APPROVAL OF ALL TRANSACTIONS IN THE POINT SHOP. IT IS WITHIN THEIR RIGHTS TO DENY A CHANGE THAT THEY DEEM WOULD MAKE A CHARACTER TOO POWERFUL.
