Battle Royal

So finally the time came where Kazuki would get to fight the Head-Captain. But what a pain he brought his little friend with him. Standing in the middle of Karakura Town Kazuki only stood with an absent glare. Just above both the Sotaicho, and his fellow Captain had just exited the Senkaimon. Kazuki knew it was only a matter of time before the Head-Captain was called to the frontlines. So rare to see the best of the best standing but several meters away. Drawing his sheathed sword Kazuki rested it on his right shoulder. Holding it loosely in his right hand. Sliding his left hand into his pocket kazuki leaned back on the nearest building, and began to increase the reaitsu around the area. Easily matching the current level of power displayed by the Sotaicho.

"Come and get me."

Zafaron slowly decended from the Senkaimon, Captain Sokkin at his side. He wasn't very happy about this entire situation. He had hoped that relations with the Vizards could remain civil and peaceful. But it seemed that a fight was what they wanted. He glared down at the Vizard Leader, the former captain Kazuki. They had once been fellow Captains, but now they were enemies and he just had to accept that.

As he glared at the Vizards he began shake slightly as he felt the dense reiatsu wash over him.
However, it wasn't fear that made him shiver. It had been such a long time since he had been faced with a truly challenging opponent, one who could make his blood boil and writhe in ecstasy. Perhaps this would finally be the day that he could go all out without fear of the consequences. Well, I guess I will have to knock them around a bit. He began to release his own reiatsu, grinning as the two powers made the air shake.

He was seated in the ground, just right behind Kazuki, when he heard him speaking and rising his reiatsu. As expected the great Shotaicho had not come alone, being accompanied by another captain by his side. To have come together with Kazuki undoubtedly was a good idea in the end, he really trusted in Kazuki's strength, but never would allow a unfair fight to take place.

"Well it seems like its gonna be a good fight" he said as he stood up stretching out his arms and legs.

Sokkin had be chosen by the Commander Captain to help him take out the strongest of the Vizards. Sokkin had thought that the relationship between the two races were totally fine but it seemed to be the opposite. As they both stepped out of the Senkaimon, Sokkin could feel the reiatsu clash between the two. Wow... Such power between them two. This fight is going to be intense... But who is that other person. Powerful aswell but not as strong as the one named Kazuki.

Sokkin turned to his Commander Captain thinking why he was the one chosen. He flicked his long blue hair back as he drew his sword. " Ready when you are sir!." Sokkin said as he awaited for either the Vizards to attack or for his Commander Captain to order Sokkin in what to do.

Stepping from the building Kazuki only slightly smiled from the intensity of Zafaron's reaitsu.

"And to believe he's grown even stronger."

Leaning on his right foot Kazuki lowered his head, looking at his feet. Wearing the clothing of a shinigami was still his style. He liked the way it felt on his body, and also the look it gave him. Made him seem cool.

"Tuwa-chan. Don't pull any punchs. You know why we have to fight them. For the safety, and lives of our people. If your not up for this then leave now. I wont hold it against you if your scared. This is the Sotaicho afterall."

Looking back, and giving Tuwa a very warm grin Kazuki proved he meant every word while also letting him know this could be there last battle. Turning to face Zafaron again Kazuki began to lift slowly into the air. Using a solidified plane of reishi to make this happen. He made his approach slow. Taking note of the drawn sword from the second Captain, and the force of Zafaron's reaitsu. Clashing with his own, and casting a shadow of pressure throughout the city. Which he and his fellow Vizard's helped empty before anything played out.

Reaching a level playing field with Zafaron Kazuki looked the Head-Captain over once or twice. Grinning slightly before rising his left foot, and using the tips to balance on while leaning back, his left hand in pocket, and his sword still resting on his right shoulder.

"Long time no see Zafaron. I see your well?"

"Thank you for asking. I see time in exile hasn't been too problematic for you yourself." He was quiet for a minute, still feeling angry that they even had to go through all of this. He had hoped that as Sotaicho he could help the two race intermingle for the first time in centuries. But it seems that this was not to be the case. Fate obviously had other plans for these powerful Shinigami, and there was no way to fight it.

"I do not wish to have blood spilled today, but you have left us no choice Captain Kazuki." His use of the man's former title was not to be cruel, but to hopefully remind him or what his duties used to be. "And I would have avoided this if possible. But as long as you continue to protect that man, there is no other course we can take." He pulled out his sword. "I will say this. We will not kill either of you if we can help it, that is not our purpose here. We just wish to protect the human world in the only way we know how."

"Let time shatter, Havon."

"Always like" he thought after hearing Kazuki's words, just before he made his way to the Shotaicho leaving Tuwa behind.

He sighed before he raised his zampakuto in the air and called for it, releasing his shikai and holding it against the floor and checking out if there wasn't any human who had came back and cause a big headache to they while fighting. After that he just ran and jumped down until he finally managed to reach behind Kazuki when the Shotaicho had just released his zampakutou.

The Commander Captain has already decided to release his Zanpakutou? I might give it some time. But its time to start it all with a big blast.Sokkin looked around as the city was cleared of civilians. Sokkin said as his eyes directed themself to the weaker vizard. " Hello there, i am Sokkin Zenrei the Squad 5 Captain. And do you know what that means?" He said as he began to grin.

"Hadou #54 Haien!" Sokkin called as he slash his Zanpakutou towards the vizards hoping to deal some quick damage to them focusing mostly on the weaker vizard as he knew that his Commander Captain would want him to.

"Guess that is the end of talking." Zafaron said to the other captain, his tone neutral to the other Captain's assault. Half of him was angry that any chance of talking was now shattered while the other half just wanted to finally get the blood-boiling fight started. He dashed forward as he saw Kazuki beginning to summon flames around his blade. He had seen that before and he knew what was coming wasn't going to be fun. And he so hated the smell of charred flesh.

As he charged forward he knew he wouldn't get there before the attack was released, but he might as well start the battle with a surprise. He put his hand out in front of him making a triangle with his finger. "Bakudo #30, Shitotsu Sansen!" It wouldn't be that effective against an enemy of Kazuki's caliber, but it would probably be enough to mess up his timing or hold him down for a little bit. And that little bit of time was all Zafaron needed to get up close and personal.

"A really close one" he thought as he moved away from the attack been pulled by Kazuki, just before he focused his eyes over the other captain and walked away from Kazuki leaving him alone with the Shotaicho just in time as he started to create a fire tornado.

"Oh... you're the captain of those stupids guards of seiretei, squad 5 now i've remembered it" He said to the captain as he swinged he quarterstaff in circles around him, changing it from a hand to another, until he stopped and pointed it toward the captain during some seconds before he started to run into his direction.

"A head on attack aye?" Sokkin said as he pointed his right index finger towards the Vizard. " You think because you obtain a mask which ups your power? That won't help you. Bakudo #62 Hyapporankan!" Sokkin called as a large reiatsu rod formed of energy was created in Sokkin's hand he then threw it at the vizard as it spread into multiple rods which could pin the target against a surronding building if connecting properly.

So the Captain-Commander had some tricks in store. Seeing as he used a high level binding spell Kazuki only smiled, and turned his body. Hoping into in the air, and twisting his midsection and letting his body follow. So the moment the kido reached Kazuki simply watched it go by, having jumped from through the middle. It did cause him to lose his chance to charge Raika, but that didn't matter.

Finishing his spin as the kido passed his body Kazuki landing on the ball of his left foot, and dashed forward. Crossing the distance between the two in nearly as much time as it took him to dodge the Kido.

Coming down with a vertical slash Kazuki tried to enter a bladelock with the Captain-Commander. At this time trying to overpower, and push him back while also saying what needed to be said. "You have no right to kill the Vizard kind. We have done nothing wrong. We killed that Captain because he came after us. And for defending ourselves you now come to destroy us. I thought you wee better then that.....Zafaron."

Locking blades was usually something Zafaron avoided, but perhaps there was still a faint chance that they could work this out without deaths. Besides, his sheer mass and power would still give him the advantage in that situation. He stepped forward swinging his sword at an angle, holding back Kazuki's slash, his muscles tightening up to keep the two blades still. He didn't put enough energy in to completely knock the other sword completely out of the way, but enough to keep him from getting injured by the saw blade.

"We have no intention on destroying your race Kazuki. You once were fellow Shinigami and we respect that. If we had a wish to destroy you all, we would have gone back to executing the Vizards instead of exiling them. However!" With this word he slowly began increasing the pressure he was putting on his blade. "Your master is a threat to all of the races and worlds. You do not understand the danger he poses. That is why one of our captain's sacrificed his life to stop him, but you all destroyed that chance! You are blinded by your gratitude for saving your life and cannot see the truth of that man's intentions. And as long as you continue to protect him and hide him, we will not give up this fight!"

Having his sword slowly pushed back Kazuki increased his own pressure causing both blades to halt, and sparks to slowly flare from the contact of metal, and spiritual pressure. Sighing Kazuki looked directly into Zafaron's eyes as he did many years ago. They showed he was in so much pain, and that the anger in his heart was so real that his zanpakuto cried out in agony, his spiritual pressure echoed with grief, and his body moved with vengeance.

"If that was the case Zafaron, and I were protecting this man then I would have good reason too. But you took the life of one of our own. Out of pure rage, and anger. For that I WILL NOT FORGIVE YOU!!!"

Putting more pressure on the blades Kazuki increased the amount of spiritual pressure leaking from his body. Trying to overpower the Captain Kazuki growled with a fury like no other. From his blade a small amount of fire began to cover the balde. From tip to the gaurd.

Kazuki's fury did little to affect Zafaron. Even the fire from the blade was little hindrance to him. What was puzzling to him was the Vizard's words. The other captains had been ordered not to kill any of the Vizards as a death could lead to an irreparable schism between the two races. It was also for practical purposes as well, they had been ordered to capture any of the Vizards and bring them in for questioning so that they could get more information about their creator.

With a burst of energy Zafaron knocked the other sword to the side trying to then get a reverse cut on the Vizard. It was blocked surprisingly quickly leading him to block against another move from the fiery sword. Holding the attack back, his eyebrows furrowed, trying to make sense of it all. Not only had the other Captains been ordered not to kill, no reports had been made about a malicious killing of a Vizard.

The pieces were starting to come together but still something seemed to be missing. Planting his feet in the ground he started to push back. "I do not know what you are talking about. Who killed one of the Vizards? All Captains had been ordered to focus on your Maker and not to kill any of your race. It was to prevent this exact conflict. Who did the killing?"

Lowering his head Kauzki's eyes would be blankets by darkness. His current expression hidden under darkness of his despair. Slowly his reaitsu flared, doubling in force. The flames covering Rounin Ryuu growing stronger, and the surrounding area becoming as hot as a desert.

"Who did the killing Zafaron? You should know. Because it was YOU!!!"

Rising his head suddenly Kazuki's flames would warp, and expanding from it's blade. Creating a type of wall between the two as Kazuki pushing downward on Zafaron's blade. Before letting out a heartbreaking screech Kazuki would finish his forceful slash. trying to use this sudden increase in power to send the Captain-Commander flying backwards into the nearest building.

((Since PK left I guess we can continue with just Kazuki and Zaf. Unless Tuwa wants to gang up on me as well ))

Normally Zafaron's immense physical strength would have managed to hold back Kazuki's attack. However, the confusion and surprise from the Vizard's statement made him blank out for just long enough for him to get knocked flying backwards. He crashed straight through one of the walls bouncing off the floor once before pushing off with his hand and landing on his feet in a guarded position.

He didn't understand what he had just heard. At least the previous statement about one of the Captains killing a Vizard seemed reasonable, but how would he not know he killed a Vizard? That would be completely illogical. Then suddenly his eyes widened. There was still one possible way it could have occurred. "The former 13th Captain and that bizarre zanpakuto he wielded. It couldn't be that he was on that man's side this whole time. And that would correspond completely with his disappearance." He muttered quietly to himself as the pieces clicked together in his mind.

If that is the case then we could be in an even more dire situation than we first thought. And the Vizard Maker is pulling the strings of his own race even more then we realized. He dashed into the air high above the buildings again, wiping the dust off his face. He looked over at the former captain, worry and anger filling his face. He was going to kill the man that had started all of these problems even if it took hundreds of years. He wasn't going to let the circle of pain continue.

"I can assure you that I have done no such thing. It would be completely illogical to do so and as the Sotaicho it is my job to ignore emotions and pursue the most thought out and logical route to protect all of those that are under me and all that need to be protected. However, if you do not beileve me, then we have no more time for words. I will show my truth using my powers." As he said these words he shifted Havon from its sword form to the disk and to his preferred mace form.

"Then prepare yourself. Zafaron Uriuc. I Kazuki Kadarame will avenge my people. Our pasts mean nothing. Our friendship has been reduced to ashs. Just as I shall reduce you. Rounin Ryuu!"

Sliding his right foot back, and holding the blade in a style of reversed Kendo stance Kazuki released a wave of reaitsu from his body. The area grew humid, and dry as Kazuki stared up at the Sotaicho. Flames beginning to take the place of his reaitsu. Wrapping around his sword before lashing out through the streets. Kazuki releasing an almost hollow like roar, looking to surprise the Sotaicho once again, before jumping from the ground into the air. The buidlings, and ground blowing backwards in the oppsotie direction from the sheer force of his reaitsu, and spirit pressure.

Crossing the distance between the two in almost a second after his jump Kazuki brough Rounin Ryuu round for a sweeping slice. Looking to cut the Sotaicho clean in half. Whatever Rounin Ryuu came into contact with would release a large burst of flames with each strike. Signalling the seriousness behind each of Kazuki's blows.

Roaring his own battle cry as he released his giant stores of reaitsu, Zafaron met Kazuki's blade with the staff of his mace parrying the giant blade with a one armed swing. Ignoring the flames licking his skin he quickly grabbed the mace with his other hand quickly changing the momentum and force of the weapon to aim right at Kazuki's stomach. It was going to be a tough battle, that was for sure.

Still wieling Rounin Ryuu with his right hand alone Kazuki noticed, and anticipated the Sotaicho being able to counter such a move. Yet he didn't except him to wield a mace with so much force, and speed behind it. Yet still with his sword arm Kazuki spinning, and used a lifted upward slice. Parrying the mace upward and looking to have the Sotaicho's midsection wide open. Where he would try, and draw first blood. not major just a reminder of who he was fighting. Kazuki wanted nothing but his best. Or it would cost him dearly.

((Just want a quick clarification. Have you actually made to strike at my midsection in that last post or solely parried my mace? Because if you are also striking at him then I will have him take damage and respond.))

Kazuki did draw first blood as Zafaron stepped forward with his right foot. It allowed the blade to slice his right side, burning his skin as it did so, but Zafaron cared little. He never expected to get through this battle without damage, and was sure that wouldn't be the last injury he would sustain in this fight. His job was to knock sense into Kazuki and get the Vizard Maker, not worry about any damage he took. As he stepped forward he brought his left knee up towards Kazuki's chest. At such a close distance and with so much power behind it, the vizard would have difficulty blocking it, especially since Kazuki's sword was currently on the opposite side of Zafaron's body. He kept his mace up in the air so he would be able to respond quickly to any new attacks.

((Let's make this fight more interesting Zaffa. I haven't had a chance to brush up full. Hope you don't mind. Don't die. Lol"

There was good reason Zafaron was Sotaicho. he cared not about the damage he would sustain in battle. As Kazuki himself knew from the beginning damage was inevitable. This battle was not between old comrades, or close friends. Allies, or rivals. It was the honor of the Soul Society, against the peace of the Vizard Nation. The leader of both factions fighting for there lives, and the lives of there respective sides. So as Zafaron's knee came into contact with his chest Kazuki was forced to cough. Losing his breath for but a second. A small amount of blood releasing from somewhere within as the force of the kick sent him floating backwards. Kazuki not losing himself as he forced himself back to the ground. Having taken Rounin Ryuu with him.

--pant--"I see" --pant--"That you have gotten a lot better. These past years."--pant--"Taking the hit was a very smart move. To deliver such a blow to myself. Yet....." Almost like it had been straining to be released Kazuki's reaitsu increased by an overwhelming amount. His clothes, and hair both swaying in the wind as he stood to his feet. Holding Rounin Ryuu in the under-handed position as he twisted his wrist so the blade was sticking upward. "I have no choose but to fight you with everything I have. Therefore.........Bankai...." Erupting from the sword flames blanketed Kazuki from sight. The heat rising from Kazuki being enough to scorch building's below. The air itself becoming humid, and dense with the vapors of heat.

"Raikenbou Rounin Ryuu!!"

Instantly the flames receded, and vanished all together. Kazuki stood in the same spot not having moved a muscle. Not in the least bit effect by the flames that so easily enveloped him not to long ago. Yet now in his right hand, which was still turned in the underhand, was clearly a naginate. A type of spear with an overly large blade. Rigged, and elegantly made. A large red tassel at the base of it's blade, connected to a 11 foot pole. At the end a type of weight to counter blade. Still it was i the shape of a diamond head. Sharp enough to be used as a weapon. yet it would seem Kazuki himself had changed. Now wearing a white uniform reversed of the shingami uniform he had been wearing. His fingers balling in, and out of fists as the red gloves made a sound that could only be resistance to the strong movement. Staring directly into Zafaron's eyes Kazuki was sure his intentions were clear. Not he would have to see how the Sotaicho reacted to his declaration of war.
